Alan Pardew says ‘outstanding’ Tottenham star is ‘possibly the best’ player in the Premier League in his position

Alan Pardew was hugely impressed by the display produced by Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario against Manchester United.

Pardew said about Vicario on talkSPORT (7:24 pm, January 14, 2024): “The goalie, you have got possibly the best goalkeeper in the league at the moment. He is outstanding. And he looks so comfortable. He came and took two or three crosses today that took all the pressure off of Spurs. Brilliant performance, I thought.”

For someone who was brought up and playing in Italy, his English (range of vocabulary, pronunciation etc) after 3 months being here is pretty good.

Not just pretty good, outstanding after such a short time.

I'd say it was better, certainly more natural sounding than Guardiola's, who has been in England nearly 8 years.
