The club's strategy appears to be, that we go after a target, if we are able to get a clear run at them.
They seem to want, a player to be all in on them, with no other clubs involved, so no bidding war which increases the amount.
I think it's quite risky and limited, relying on a target not changing their mind, like we have just seen.
I guess this has been a Levy policy, to ensure we don't pay too much, but Kane will need to be replaced, and another year or two so will son, that is going to cost a bit is the club ready.

Yeah, just like the last signing we made 😂😂😂😂

The stuff some of you lot come out with.

Fucking hell, so this is why so many people think they know so much about players they've never seen. They pay to subscribe to something called WyScout. FFS

It maybe, but surely football clubs have actual, paid and proper analysts to interpret the data to identify who the club want. Not some random satbin his mums basement

Of course as well as actually going to watch the players on an extended period of time to see if it all matches up.

WyScout is a good platform though. Think it has loads and loads of footage on there mixed with all sorts of stats that aren't readily available but yeah, like all stats and people who use them, should use them alongside what you see, not base a whole player on them without viewing.

Otherwise you get told Vicario can't kick amongst other things as stats can't really take into account a teams style and instruction.

Yet we just signed Dragusin rather than walking away when Bayern tabled a bid and the player (very sensibly in my view) took some time to consider what was best for him. :/ Utter made-up agenda-driven nonsense.

The problem people do not see was Nusa was a luxury if we could get him because he is still very raw. So we made an enquiry but had a price and what Brugge were asking was above the price.

It's becoming very obvious that FFP is beginning to have a huge impact, no point overpaying for likes if Nusa if it damages your ability to trade down the line. It's a tricky one because as easy as overpaying is, letting one go that was available at the right price can happen just as easily.
Suspect we may spend more liberally if we had all our unwanted off our books.
