Chris Sutton 'guarantees' what Tottenham fans will be saying about Ange Postecoglou next season

Chris Sutton thinks Tottenham fans will be frustrated with Ange Postecoglou’s football next season

Sutton was convinced that Spurs fans will eventually grow tired of the attractive football being played in North London right now.

The pundit thought the Tottenham faithful would soon be calling for Postecoglou to be more pragmatic to get his team over the line.

Sutton said: “I think we are at a stage where fans want absolutely everything now. They want the lot.

“I guarantee you next season there will be Tottenham fans under Postecoglou who will say that they need to be a bit more pragmatic. Wait and see.”

Of course, you aren’t going to find too many Spurs fans who will agree with that right now.

Although Postecoglou’s side do play with tactical freedom, not always thinking of their back line first, they still do have pragmatism in their displays.

Perhaps Sutton is suggesting that Tottenham fans will eventually be calling for Postecoglou to drop his high line in games.

However, a lesson should be learn
Can't stand the cunt, but this is, potentially, true.

It all depends on Bald Cunt giving Ange what HE NEEDS, for his system.

If he does that, the chances of this, drop, considerably.

Summer is crucial, because I would say we are only half way there re. our rebuild.

out of interest what do you think we need adding to this to our first 11 in order to seriously compete next season?

Pretty sure, pretty fucking sure even that a something causing a cunt off on here, does not make that something true.

"Need" for 1st 11?

For me, we'd need: Striker, Winger, maybe a DM.

Came across an old Brisbane Roar game with Ange in charge. 1-0 down with two minutes to go, a last minute winner playing out of the back of course. Amazing to see how far he's gone in the last 12 years.

:ange-arms:

It is amazing to see how far he's come, and also a weird sort of vindication for those of us who already knew how good this guy was.

Suggesting now that he's one of the best managers in the Premier League wouldn't raise too many eyebrows, but just a few years ago if you had floated his name for say the Crystal Palace or West Brom job, motherfuckers would have been reporting you to the mental hospital.

Nah, it's bullshit mate.

Once Ange gets this team exactly where he wants it, we won't need to be pragmatic because we will be belting the living suitcase out of most of the others. The trophies will come.

Live by the sword, die by the sword. And fuck the rest of them.

Tbf I do t think we play all out attack atm anyway. It seems to very orchestrated and particular. We generally fo it if we are losing or drawing and need to push on to win ganes or after a HT team talk. When gane is 0-0 we generally are not really going for it. It’s mainly dicking around with the ball at the back with Vic or cuti standing with the ball for what seems like ages.

Fast flowing starts that tend to drift, after 10-15 min, into going wide too early is my impression of recent games, it brings to mind Union and League tactics where you need to punch things through the middle a few times to soften things up before you start swinging the ball wide otherwise the other team gets time and the space to keep their shape.

Going wide with out real intent to get in behind has led to Vic getting way to much practice with his feet.

I know playing out from the back is a core principle that can create space further up the field but the wingers and mids are sending the ball back a bit too often imho

Rather than orchestrated and particular I think it's a little lazy and pretty conservative on the players part, definitely not what Ange is about.
