Do we need a #9?

Liverpool never had one when they won things.

City won things without one.

Yes.

City did have Aguero, who was a little bull of a player and a 9. Just not a traditional 9. And when Pep's played without archetypal 9's he's used players with good false 9 qualities (Technique, hold up and press like a cunt etc) Liverpool had Firminho who was outstanding as a kind of False 9, with wonderful technique, great hold up and vision, who brought others into play and lead the press superbly. Son is fucking hopeless at this and coughs the fucking ball constantly when he's got anyone up his arse with his back to goal and his pressing is shite (he runs around a lot but not with much tenacity). Richarlison is braver and tougher, but poor technique and vision. Arse are using Havertz as a F9, good technique, physically tough and a great presser.

Son is an objectively better presser than Aguero or Havertz.

His yellow against West Ham was his first in 15 games for club and country since Newcastle at home 4 months ago!
So basically the Romero is a liability shout is totally and utter pish!! Not that I needed that pointed out. Some in here was saying we should sell him because he’ll always do something to let us down. We have the best centre back pairing in the league.

There was a time when the question was legitimate. Don't remember the exact figures, but someone had posted on here the number of games Cuti's missed through suspension and injury...it was too high for a player of that calibre and one of our leaders.

Always easy - and cheap tbh - to have a go months later, once the kid's cleaned up his act.

But yeah, fair play to him. He's matured and calmed down. Kudos to Ange for that vice captaincy thing too.

The vice captaincy has definitely made a difference. He seems to love the club and wants to win things here rather than just use it as a stepping stone. For the the first time supporting Tottenham my two favourite players are centre backs! Both are top notch.

Dorgu was linked to Spurs last TW and look like a top LB prospect but he's got his mind set in Chelski...so that's him off the wish list then...

Then he's making emotional decisions with his career and more than likely lacks professionalism in there somewhere. Either that or he wants a fat 8 year contract to chill out on. Either way, not the mentality you want if your aim is winning things.

He didn’t commit a foul for the first 10 games of the season.

Chelsea was a fake red card anyway.
Lol mate I do tend to agree with a lot you say but that Romero challenge was a red,

he already started to get mad a couple minutes prior with Colvill. he literally did a terrible pass seconds before, then he just went in on Enzo he tried to be smart with it by getting the ball but he knew he was going in way to hard.

Ill be honest he's one of my favourites aswell but that was definitely a red.
