Why doesn't he just play a 10 rather than a forward. I mean he has pretty much everything except finishing lol. Pretty sure he can be a good asset to bring the ball up the middle while having Johnson and Son on the wings and Richarlison as ST.

Change my mind. Not giving him 180k per week for that.
I initially thought it was a no brainer as squad depth just because of the transfer fee. His fee might be cheap, but he wouldn't be a bargain especially with those wages.

He's a limited and functional player who can sometimes shine in our set up.

But the only thing he really offers is being able to find a bit of space and put a ball in the box. We can get a rotation option who's younger and on far less money who can do that for us.

This is the position that we need to go big on this summer, and giving someone 180k a week to sit on the bench and spam cutbacks for 10 minutes at the end of the game is a waste of resources.

No he certainly doesn’t have “pretty much everything” apart from finishing.

He’s good for running in straight lines, and occasionally pinging in a cross that somebody might get on the end of. That’s about it.

He’s a second rate footballer, which is why Leipzig are trying to give him away for a pittance…

Mate, its hilarious. Some of the posts I saw when we signed him as if Ange was literally Harry Potter and would transform the bloke were baffling. It's Timo fucking Werner, he is headed towards 30 and is the same player he was at Chelsea.

Even his crossing is just basic. He's whipping them in low repeatedly, he doesn't have the technique to mix it up at all. Technically he is an extremely basic footballer, with no decision-making or composure whatsoever.

He is quick and hard working and will follow instructions. As a loan to fill a gap it was a good signing, to actual burden ourselves with him on our books and spend actual transfer money on him would be utter fucking lunacy.

There has to be someone in the academy that can do his job.

He's fine at depth, he just has no business starting.

Prefer him coming off the bench when there's more space to operate in and/or when there's tired legs on the pitch.

Can't be going into next season as him being our no1 LW, I would be livid.

His wage is too high to be on bench unless he signs for way less.

He gets paid £8,580,000 this year which is insane for his return....

He's not even fine as depth. Giving someone 180k a week (on top of the 15 million) to come off the bench to drive down the line and perform a cutback is a terrible idea.

You're genuinely better off getting a left winger from the academy.

He will score and assist at least a couple of times in our last few games.
Johnson missed a similar chance in our last game.
If Ange is here next season then so will Werner.
