We won't beat City as we're rather shit at the moment. There's really nothing to worry about.

Whoever doesn't understand Spurs fans wanting Spurs to win on Tuesday, doesn't understand the Spurs fans who want Spurs to win.

Are you actually saying you wouldn't be delighted if we thrash the cunts 7-1? Because if you are, you don't understand football.
It wasn't exactly one-sided when we played Sheffield United at home was it?Meh. We only need a draw and if we can't get that against the bottom of the league side, then we don't deserve to finish 5th.
So again, no, we do NOT want to beat City. End of.
A bit of history.
Back in 2010, Inter and Roma were fighting for the Scudetto (the League title) in Italy. Matchday 36, Lazio, who were threatened by relegation at that point and a win would secure staying in Serie A, were playing Inter at home.
In an online poll (that I sadly can't find anymore) around 90% of Lazio fans voted to lose and risk getting relegated (bear in mind that relegation to Serie B in those years would normally mean that the clubs would be fighting to not get into administration) rather than win and help Roma win the Scudetto.
Fast forward to the match, and Lazio lose to Inter 2-0. Although a "brotherhood derby" since Inter and Lazio fans had a good relationship at the time (things have soured a bit since Inzaghi moved from Lazio to Inter), it's one of the only cases in Italy where the home crowd was actively cheering against their own team and actually celebrated when Inter scored their first goal (bringing out one of the most famous signs as well, saying "Oh Nooooo" when Inter scored).

Rivalries are part of football. Whoever doesn't understand Spurs fans wanting City to win on tuesday, doesn't understand football.
No, we wouldn't. We would not be delighted in handing Woolwich the title. If you're ok with that, then you don't understand football.Whoever doesn't understand Spurs fans wanting Spurs to win on Tuesday, doesn't understand the Spurs fans who want Spurs to win.

1) So what if Villa win tonight? that point become redundant.2 side notes re: motivation......
1. The players will earn a big chunk of money if they get into the CL.
2. Demanding that the players throw the game v City; one can't then get pissy if we go up to Sheff and shit the bed........ You can't expect the team to just seamlessly switch their professionalism on and off at will.
Are you purposely misunderstanding the question
If anyone thinks we will send out a weakened team for this then they are stupid as fuck.Surely he has to send out a full strength side?
The uproar if he played a B team would be immense.
Maybe a few little tinkers here and there, but he won't be able to make wholesale challenges without the media absolutely shrieking foul play.
You agreed with this post from Rosie, who was replying to me...

Yes, yes, nothing to play for them etc. Or a massive media shitstorm through throwing a game on their minds going into a must not lose Europa game.
We should try and win every game we play. End of.
Believe it or not, winning is more important than rivalry. Much more important. In fact, it's everything. No, we wouldn't. We would not be delighted in handing Woolwich the title. If you're ok with that, then you don't understand football.

You are not entitled to say that fans are not real fans for disagreeing with your view.
Yet you're doing the exact same thing to others![]()
Good point, I have somehow blocked the home game out of my mind.
10pI can't go to this game tomorrow for lots of reasons, but the main one is I don't want to. My ticket is on the exchange, block 530
Please buy it.
bit like being on the end of a Nicolas Jackson hatrick .... lolGood point, I have somehow blocked the home game out of my mind.
Those 2 goals are the only goals that guy has scored all season.

Yeah you're right, winning a game that doesn't impact us at all at this stage is way more important than a rivalry where you could literally hand your biggest rivals a league title.Believe it or not, winning is more important than rivalry. Much more important. In fact, it's everything.
You spend your whole existence on here humiliating yourself mateYou've spent the last 48 hours humiliating yourself, saying to all and sundry that anyone who wants us to lose to City isn't a real spurs fan, and you've double downed on it, so I strongly suggest you shut the fuck up.
Sing when we're losing. You're not a spurs fan if you want the scum to win the title. End of.
And like I fucking said (you can read, right?) - if we can't beat or at a bare minimum draw with Sheff Utd, we don't deserve to finish 5th.
END FUCKING OF.
There's no need for you to reply - I won't entertain gooner lovers anymore this morning.
