We don’t play with a proper holding midfielder in our system so can’t see him playing anywhere but CB for us.
Honestly, not blown away by Gimenez but he has CL and Europa goals already and has been prolific at every step he's taken. Doesn't need loads of touches to score and has been working in Feyenoord's manic pressing system so seems a good fit for Angeball.
If Richy stays and we can send Feyenoord Gil and 25m, I can see the logic of having depth and competition at #9.
You never saw him play for Tottenham as a sub in midfield. Have you watched him play ever? He’s a centre back and nothing else. He’s not overly comfortable on the ball and at centre back is the easiest position on the pitch to pass the ball. He’d be absolutely torture in midfield. He’s a very good centre back in a back 3 or 4. He’s as close to an old school no nonsense centre back you’ll get.

40m for a 29 year old that's fallen off and wants massive wages. That's the kind of Casemiro or Varane signing that has UTD in such a mess. And if it doesn't work out we already know he's very likely to start acting the cunt.

I’m sure we’d all love to see Isak or Gyokeres/Sesko/Openda rocking up but unless Levy is selling the club, that’s not happening.

The big money needs to be spent upgrading the forwards, for sure. But we cannot go into the new campaign with no real back up/competition for Udogie and Porro.
If we plan on playing ~20 more matches next season, we’re going to need two competent full backs that can push both players.

Correct,we won’t be in for any of those players although we should be and nothing to stop us trying.
