We won’t get one of them mate. Sad but true.
True but it's why managers come and go quick here because we settle for quantity over quality. The next step is getting a top tier player in which we should of done during pochs need in 2018. We always go to the second step but never go to the first step it's aggravating how close we come.over the years and when the manager needs 1 or 2 quality players in he doesn't get them and they get sacked

Correct,we won’t be in for any of those players although we should be and nothing to stop us trying.

That’s the bit that pisses me off most. We have the funds to do it. They would all fit perfectly for us too.
Fuck it Daniel, just sign the three of them 🤣

You know which one annoys me even more?

Xavi Simons

Available on loan. Absolutely perfect for that role of dribbled technical left wing or 10. Was at RB Leipzig so clearly we aren’t a level below where he’d be willing to go on loan for a year.

But you just know we won’t do it somehow. Most likely a kid like that on the fringes of PSGs squad, is already on wages we can’t match but a club like Leipzig could.

If they get Eze instead for 60m I can deal with that but the 60m could easily go on one of them strikers from our list… but again it’s really wages that would get in the way again.

If I’m the DOF, I'm only looking for players that are first team ready for these priority positions, (absolute guaranteed upgrades in bold) my list would look something like:

LF
Kvaratskhelia
Mitoma
Eze (RF/8/F9)
Simons (RW/8?)
Williams(N)
Gordon (LF)(HG)
Rodrygo (RF)
Pulisic (RF)
Sancho (RF) (HG)
ThuramM (CF)
Barcola (LF/CF)
Musiala(8)
Tel

CF
Isak
Osimhen
ThuramM (LF)
Openda
Sesko
Guirassy
Boniface
Darwin (LF) (if Liverpool want to cash out - I'd take a punt)
Toney (HG)

If we get rid of Richarlison we need a back up list also:

Undav
Wahi
Moffi
De Ketelere (RW)

RF (I'm struggling a bit here)
Olise
Kudus
Neto (Injuries permitting obviously)
Bakayoko

Back up options for development
Zhergrova
Amin Adli (not first team ready maybe but he can go inside and outside so worth listing)

8
Wirz (RF)
Brandt (RF/LF)
Eze (LF/RF) (HG)
Musiala (LF)
GomesA (HG)
MGW (HG)
Gallagher (HG)
ThuramK
Majer

I know many are unlikely and will get laughs, but I've listed players who would be more or less sure to upgrade us regardless of likelihood or at least first team good enough, unless otherwise stated. I'm sure I'm missing some, especially from places like Spain and Portugal where I watch very little football. I've kept it mostly to the ideal age profile (with the odd exception).
Read A lot of newspapers?😂😂

The big money needs to be spent upgrading the forwards, for sure. But we cannot go into the new campaign with no real back up/competition for Udogie and Porro.

If we plan on playing ~20 more matches next season, we’re going to need two competent full backs that can push both players.

Maybe Spence can be that on the right? I don’t think Ange was too thrilled with him, though.
Don’t think Spence will play for us again. Ange doesn’t like his attitude and Leeds cancelled the loan because Farke thought the same hence his loan to Genoa. I think he’ll have a decent career if he can sort that out and settle somewhere.

I agree bulk of the budget needs to go on CF and wide players (hopefully 2). But as you say we need cover at both FB positions. Bringing back KWP would make sense as he can play both sides a club trained for Europe. Then maybe more of a budget option for LB.

Hopefully can shift Reggie, rodon, royal, lo celso, ndombele, Solomon. Big summer ahead!

“Mourinho even got in touch with my agent about taking me to Tottenham, but then they realised I couldn’t play in England.”

Hulk makes it sound like he’d have accepted a move to Tottenham, but couldn’t get a work permit.

“I had offers from Turkey, Portugal and England. But I couldn’t play in England, because I’d been in China for four and a half years, and I couldn’t play in English football, because there’s a rule there that you have to be either in the Brazilian national team for a short period of time, or in the five leagues they select.”

The details given by Hulk don’t sound 100% accurate, as the Premier League does allow players from alternative leagues to join them, but perhaps there was indeed a problem with a visa.

With the Tottenham move not working, Hulk ended up joining Atlético-MG in February 2021. He ended up becoming an idol there, and currently has 102 goals and 38 assists in 193 appearances for the club.

Would love of had Hulk to play here

Same guy chatting shit again

But just for posterity, is there anyone, even the most pro Levy and transfer woke crew Shadydan Shadydan Airfixx Airfixx The Absolute GOAT The Absolute GOAT
That would see this exact window as anything but a total disaster and massively letting the fans down?

Yes I get each of them could be decent options as part of a bigger window plan but if it was just those 3 and maybe a cheaper defender….

Who the fuck cares, debating over baseless speculation by some clown

If it happens it happens.

See FOK FOK .... 'bald man bad'.
He is bad. He's a miserly wanker that really isn't bothered if the football team that fronts the brand actually wins anything just makes money. Pretty sure even Ben Davis thinks this and he has a degree and everything. I get people get sick of hearing it but that does not make it less true. Only he can change this perception. And here's the thing even his most ardent critics would hold their hands up if he did indeed attempt to win a trophy. EVEN IF WE FAILED. Say he went there Krava, Eze, Robinson, Sesko. Then followed it up with three more top quality players he'd get cut alot more slack. He's built the infrastructure now he has to match the ambition he had in his pursuit of that.

Oh no, @SB8308715342770 says that the window will be shit.

It even got 8 likes.

Lol you missed the point.

I wasn't defending or criticising Levy. The post wasn't about Levy.

It was about John Thomas John Thomas who, when asked a legitimate question on here, ducks it and can only post anti-Levy stuff.

But hey...if I needed to explain the joke then it was a shit joke. My bad!

Meh...he wasn't incredible

Knew you would duck the question

Why are you so eager for me to appease your desperate little coping fetish?

I've said plenty of times on here how utterley pissed off if we end up buying a load of shite this Summer, I literally just said that I didn't want Toney on a previous page, CHO I will be fine with as long as we target another winger and I'm a fan of Gallagher.

But that nonsense tweet is designed for people like you because it's disingenuous crap purely to drive engagement amongst the boneheaded fans who buy into this shit, there's a reason why I have that idiot blocked.

You're honestly such a weirdo

Toney would be a good signing for West Ham, probably get them 8 to 14 goals per season and be a legend there.
I think there is every chance that'll be where he goes. If we're not interested, and i hope we're not, who else takes him? For all the hype around his return and is he going to Woolwich, Chelsea, Man U i think they've had a look at his underwhelming form since, age and likely wage demands and swerved him. We need to do the same.

For clarity, you're asking what views would be on a transfer window consisting of Gallagher, Hudson Odoi and Toney?

If we want to be stagnant, then it's bang average - 5/10

If we want to progress, then it's shit 3/10 at best.

Can't be anymore direct in answering your question than that.

Also, don't particularly appreciate being referred to as a 'most pro Levy and transfer work crew'. I am not. But will leave that there.

You’d think the powers that be would realise just how close we could be to be really challenging for everything we enter if they just went and got a couple of these top players. The club can afford it. We got lucky with Modric and Berbatov but there was far too much mediocrity around them but now we can start going for top players with very good ones around them.

It’s so deflating seeing other teams do it and we get left behind. We then ask whatever manager we have to do the impossible and ultimately they lose their job.

I’m not asking for stupidity but when you see guys like Eze and Olise and know they can make you so much better and we don’t enter the race because of money makes you sick. Those two guys are London boys and it’s between us,Woolwich and Chelsea and you just know we are third in that list because of money.

Sesko,Gyokeres and Openda are all there to get but we’ll end up with Giminez because he’s cheaper. It’s not all about what you pay because he might turn out to be better than the others but at least be in for these guys.

For all we know we might be in for those players I mentioned but history tells me we won’t be.
