Ex-Spurs Player Tanguy Ndombele

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

But that's just one game, presumably he's not responsible for watching him on a weekly basis and profiling him for mentality, consistency, atechnical and physical ability?

Ndombele was fine in France. He was fit, good work rate and pretty much the opposite of what he's known for.

Almost as if England was too much a step up for him physically mixed in with being paid a ridiculous wage and he lost any kind of motivation due to it.

I'm not sure to be honest, I spoke to a psg fan who said the issues were evident back at lyon also

I watched Ndombele quite alot that season before we signed him because he came up on a list of Dembele replacements and he caught my eye against City and that's definitely not the impression I got.

And it's certainly nothing anyone else brought up when we were linked or when we bought him either. Bar an issue when he was at amateur level pre-Lyon days.

This was a guy who was one of, if not (alongside De Jong) the best young midfielders in the world at the time. You're not called that if you're lazy without it being seen.

It's just a shame how it ended. Could have been a Spurs great if he had the mindset of some of those around him at the time (Kane, Son, Vertonghen etc). He didn't. He overstayed his welcome, wasted a ton of wages and ended with his career and reputation in tatters.

Good riddance.

Everybody know before we even signed him that it was a risk. He was known to be lazy.

I must have been blind then because that definitely wasn't the impression I got when watching him a good 25 or so times before he signed or from the reaction of the links and signing him.

There was one article about him being lazy at amateur level, think when he was at Amiens, which was 3 years before we ever signed him.

3 winners medals in 2 years as well, more than the majority of the players in our squad.
He's diabolical
