Newcastle are the richest club in the world but currently restrained by FFP. When they figure out ways to circumvent (not if, when) they will spend heavily.
Villa are currently also being held back by FFP and in response, have issued legal proceedings against the PL claiming the PS&R's are unfair and anti competitive.

So City and Chelsea are already finding ways around the rules to do what they want. Newcastle are primed and ready for it, and Villa are trying to get the rules removed entirely.

Meanwhile. Levy sits back and claims the excess spending won't last and eventually we'll be in a strong position.
Spoiler - we won't.
Oh sorry - so Newcastle and Villa will do this in the future right ok got ya:ange-facepalm2:

It’s covert antisemitism.
I know it always sounds a bit 'tin-hat' when I say it, but it's getting to the point where it's becoming blatant...

...and also a contributing factor to why we're so despised by clubs' fans who are outside of our 'inner circle of hated rivals'
despite apparently "never winning a trophy" ©® (Tired Football Banter Cliché)

...so we're hardly the subject of jealousy, are we??

Those clubs are an easier sell because, they win stuff quite regularly.
Tottenham on the other hand, don't win anything, except maybe carbon reduction go green award for the stadium.
Even villa seems more ambitious than we are, at least the owners want to go for it, unlike the firm of accountants who run our club.
Worse than that, they are accountants with vested interests in keeping a healthy balance sheet (at the detriment of going for it), because they have personal stakes in the club that yield when it’s sold. The profitability increases the sale price of the club and their cash cow, football achievements are secondary. It’s at odds with the fans and football club and they need to just fucking die in a fire or fuck the fuck off. They’ve made billions already whatever the sale price, just go now. 25 years, highest ticket prices in the world and no nearer success than ever

He's gone mate. Nothing to do with Spurs anymore.
Directly - indirectly he will be making decisions. I’m sure he hasn’t handed over all accountability to his kids or whoever took ownership of his stake on paper

Absolute pair of greedy bastard chancers him and Levy. Invested nothing and will yield 5BN whilst we have become a complete meme. All the good work to increase revenue was funded by fans not them and was to the detriment of short term on field success

Yet another CB, Giovanni Leoni, rumored to be of interest for Spurs. But with Spurs already stacked with very young and young CBs, I can't see Spurs being that interested, unless he's a generational talent - in which case Sampdoria would be much wiser to keep him for 2-3 seasons and then sell him for 10 x the $4m they apparently want now...

In recent days, Spurs have been linked with an Italian wonderkid who is rated very highly by Azzurri legend Andrea Pirlo.
The player in question is Padova defender Giovanni Leoni, who is likely to change clubs twice over the coming weeks.

Sampdoria are expected to take up a £1.3million option to buy the 17-year-old after having him on loan last season, and then cash in to make a profit.

The Italian second-tier club is apparently looking to reinvest funds raised by selling Leoni to bolster their ranks and mount a promotion challenge next term.

Now, According to La Repubblica – via Tuttojuve – Sampdoria have placed a €5million price tag (around £4.2million) on Leoni.

The report mentions Tottenham as suitors alongside Juventus, Napoli and Torino. The latter are said to be frontrunners for the defender’s signature.

Who is Tottenham target Giovanni Leoni?

As per Calciomercato, the 6ft 4in gem is a “modern, structured, patient, disciplined, educated, determined centre-back, capable of both defending and setting up the game.”

The Italian outlet also says Leoni – an Italy Under-18 international – has been inspired by Liverpool star Virgil van Dijk and Roma ace Chris Smalling,

In addition, “his dream is to play in the Premier League, of whom he watches all the matches in his free time, or of Roma, of which he is a fan”.

Sampdoria boss Andrea Pirlo rates Leoni highly, previously telling Clubdoria46 that he doesn’t care about the player being 17 years old with regards to being a regular starter.

Admittedly, Torino may well have the edge on their rival suitors in that they’re more likely to give Leoni first-team football from the off.

Nevertheless, Tottenham would be able to offer higher wages, and they have several Italian speakers in their ranks who could take Leoni under their wing. So they certainly have a chance.
