He’s a freak and so are Man CityHaaland is a box striker. Doesn't have an all-round game really. He can hold it up a bit but if anything he's the perfect Ange striker.
I don't believe Toney is a target at all btw.

He averages about 11 goals a season. For a guy who offers basically nothing if he's not scoring that's not great.Eye test is subjective and the stats say that Richarlson scores more goals in the EPL
richy is a useful striker if youre going direct and getting the ball in the box. haaland doesnt fit the city mould, he still gets his numbers by staying away from the ball in buildup and being a box threat. we have to treat richy the same way. This keeps getting repeated, but what suited an Ange Celtic, Brisbane or Yokohama side doesn't necessarily translate to the Prem. Completely different game here.
The best strikers of the last decade are all-rounders, they hold up the ball well and play with their back to goal, link the play and keep possession - Kane, Haaland, Costa, Aguero, Benzema, Lewandowski.
Increasingly this has come at the cost of goals: Firmino, G Jesus, Havertz, Giroud. The best possession football managers are increasingly relying on clever hold up specialists over pure goal tallies, because they keep the ball, which ultimately brings more control of games and more points on the board.
Rarely now do you just the top managers satisfied with a goal merchant who just runs in behind. And I suspect given our striker targets this summer (Toney, David), Ange agrees.
Relating this to Spurs, Richy's goal tally in his two month purple patch was good, but how many of those games did we control? How many did we play well as a team? Ask yourself if Pep, Klopp or Arteta would pick him? It's no surprise to me we are open to swapping him for someone who can control the ball.
his points per game have been very good since hes been here. players only have the ball for like 2 mins over 90 in a game. his work in the 88 without the ball is good! theres a reason his PPG is good.He averages about 11 goals a season. For a guy who offers basically nothing if he's not scoring that's not great.
Well, not ALL of them were that bad...I know a bloke in his 50s who had a pint of Piss thrown at him by Leeds fans…
He’s a gooner mind
They sold Mangala and Niakhate - both bang average players - to Lyon for stupid money. OL boss doing a solid to the Forest one as seems they got other deals together outside football.Thing I don’t get is right with ‘all these clubs helping each other’
Forest must want Anderson? Like, he’s there now in their books, they’re paying him a wage… they’re not gonna take him if they don’t want the player at all? It’s not really beneficial if you get stuck with a player you don’t want?
When Neto is on the pitch, he's close to a dream wide player signing for us. Would be so perfect...
It's just that I don't think you can guarantee him playing more then 20 odd league games in a season. It just feels like a risk we can't/won't take right now.
Doue I'm very excited about, brilliant link.
Neto, less so. Fantastic talent but those hamstrings plus Ange-ball is a recipe for disaster. Don't want to be spending £50m on another Gio thank you.
I'm in France a few months a year and often get invited to Ligue 1 games by business contacts or friends...the odd Coupe de France tie too. Think I saw Rennes live 3 or 4 times over the past couple seasons, and a few more on the telly.has anyone actually watched Doue play? i'm being honest here, has anyone actually seen him for at least 5 games?
Agnes certainly talks the talk but I'd like it more if he'd put his money where his mouth is.Ange's comments on ITV about him loving all the young players being thrown in and trusted at the euro's is looking like it could be a preview for us next season... Archie Gray, Bergvall, maybe Mikey Moore and maybe Doue if that can be done.. I think he's preparing to give them a lot of important minutes next season.. Even if we as fans may be tentative about whether they're ready or not.. He might just see it as a case of throwing them in at the deep end and lets see who can swim.

This account called a bunch of things early. Especially on the Gray/Rodon deals
Maybe this is BS, maybe there is an offer and the club and player aren’t fully against it
Very United signing.Looks like de ligt is going to united…..
Very curious one… Bayern don’t let good players go, this is a guy who was dropped for Eric Dier… also can’t make the national squad ahead of De Vrij
Not saying he’s bad just would be very wary of the signing.
Then again, it’s united so they’ll offer an 6 year contract at 400 K a week

Eze would be an amazing signing and so would Neto if he didn't have a shitty injury record. Another player that would be a very good signing is Mbuemo at Brentford.
He does offer work rate and diving - good for a relegation dogfight but not for usHe averages about 11 goals a season. For a guy who offers basically nothing if he's not scoring that's not great.
Been there, done that.Imagine your tantric summer transfer chase culminating in the signing of Emerson Royal...
