Tbh I don't really care for supporting any other country apart from my own i expect every other country to be the same. It's nice to see a Georgia or an Austria do well but other than that I couldn't really give a fuck about any other country but my own. Certainly wouldn't support another.
If you are English how can you support anyone else. Unless you are scouse and have a victim complex about Margaret Thatcher. As some reasonably intelligent scousers still harbour.

As a German, I have been a fan of the English national team for a long time.
This has nothing to do with my love of Tottenham Hotspur football club.
For me, England is the motherland of football, and it is thanks to it that I was able to acquire this addiction.
I am already looking forward to attending Eintracht Frankfurt's first game in Dortmund (we'll beat them!).
In England and Scotland (unfortunately I only know a few famous footballers from Wales and Northern Ireland [Bale, Giggs, Sheehan, Rush, Jennings and George Best]) they play football that reminds me of street football - honestly, no pressure from fouls, great stadiums, frenetic fans.
We can certainly keep up with the fans in Germany at club level.I haven't had much to do with the national team since 1990.
That's why, as a native German, I'm a fan of the English Three Lions team (in no way does it have anything to do with Maggie)!

I was in a pub in Stevenage yesterday for the game. Four Scots lads in there next to me all wearing England hats.
Stevenage is just far enough away from the border to get away with that abhorrent behaviour.
They don't have to wish us well. But anyone from a different country actually clearly despising England, yet supporting an English club with plenty of English players, are utter wankers, to put it bluntly.
