But this is the crux…. In ten years time will anyone actually care how the tournament was won, the fact Southgate stifled any creativity and excitement and adapted the we shall not lose bore you in to a coma method.
I suppose plenty of better exciting teams from England went to tournaments and got knocked out early by trying to be attractive and play the right way……

I rewatched extended highlights of the Swiss game and it was a lot better than I remember at the time.
