Given our propensity to blast low crosses in don't we just need a tap in merchant?
Spamming low crosses is all well and good against Hearts and QPR, but how many low crosses did we have in that run of games against Woolwich, Chelsea, Liverpool Newcastle?

Answer: not many.

That's because in order to hit low crosses you need to get to the byline, and for that you need good build up play, and for that you need a forward line who are good at passing and keeping possession. Which none of the front three in those games were able to do (Werner, Son, Brennan, Richy).

For Celtic it might be enough to have a Kyogo tap-in merchant who touches the ball 5 times per game; that doesn't work in the Prem, where you need all your players contributing.

Summer 2019 looks grim looking back at it

Glad it seems like our scouting has come on leaps and bounds
I'm curious what people think, which was the worst transfer window - summer of 2018 signing no one or summer of 2019 wasting all our money on duds. Which one did us longer term damage?
Don't want to ignite another ENIC in/out slagging just curious.
Personally summer of 2019 was worse for me as those wages and contracts hamstrung for a few years and the loss of hope when so much was expected.

I agree let’s go all in for Joel matip

Very different type of left to the one we play...
When playing as a left winger, he plays narrow and likes to cut in on his right foot (inverted winger).
I’m not sure how that plays out in our system with Udogie playing as an inverted full back.

I don’t suppose Ange is considering moving towards more traditional wing backs/ overlapping full backs or a hybrid? That change in strategy would probably play to Kulu and Eze’s strengths.
