Opening post of this thread is correct at 31 August (end of PL transfer window) and 13 September (date when PL squads are registered, and after date of registration of EL squad)

Squad after :
Players In - Gray, Bergvall, Solanke and Odobert signings, Werner loan signing.
Players Out - Rodon, Hojbjerg, Royal, Skipp & Lo Celso exits, Gil, Veliz & Solomon on loan
and Spence seemingly rehabilitated

Under UEFA definitions Spurs have a maximum allowed squad of is 21 players plus any Club Trained players and youngsters qualifying to be on List B

With our current squad we needed to omit 2 players, Reguilon, and Spence to get to that UEFA compliant
squad size (squad shown below).

In PL and domestic cups we will probably see the squad complying with UEFA rules plus any number of u21's including Gray, Bergvall and Odobert who do not require registration and thus Spence can be included in the PL squad . (And the PL squad also has space to include Reguilon and Robson due to the designation of Gray, Bergvall and Odobert as u21 and therefore outside the requirement of registration inn the 25 man squad)

In order to go deep in PL EL and domestic cups playing 60+ games, we would struggle so will keep u21's who can be registered as List B players in the squad - Lankshear (striker), and Moore (RW/LW will add to squad depth without requiring registration - and if each plays say 1,000 + minutes each (11 full match equivalent) that's decent development for the players

GK -Vicario/Forster/Austin/Whiteman or Gunter
RB - Porro (and Spence (also LB) in PL squad)
CB - Romero/Van De Venn/ Dragusin/Gray (also DM & RB)
LB - Udogie/Davies (also LCB)
CM1 - Bissouma
CM2 - Bentancur/Sarr
CM3 - Maddison/Bergvall
RW - Kulusevski/Johnson/ Moore
LW - Son/Werner(loan), Odobert
CF – Solanke/Richarlison/ Lankshear

Analysis under UEFA definitions :

Club Trained (1 or 2)
Austin (3rd GK) (Minimum 4 for full 25 man squad) plus Whiteman (Or Gunter as List B player)

Trained at Other Clubs affiliated to The FA and FAW (6)
Maddison, Johnson, Forster, Davies, Gray, Solanke (and Spence in PL squads)

Overseas Trained (15)
Vicario, Romero, Van de Ven, Dragusin, Porro, Bissouma, Bentancur, Bergvall, Richarlison, Son, Kulusevski, Werner (loan), Udogie, Sarr, Odobert

Under 21's/List B (3 listed but can be any number)
Lankshear, Moore (possibly including Gunter)

So the likely leavers :

Hojbjerg, Lo Celso, Gil, Solomon (all Overseas trained players in last season's squad) and sell players loaned out last season - Rodon, Spence, Reguilon

and that's before we look at upgrading a few players in some positions.

So that could mean trying to shift about a dozen players to get maybe 6 players in - a lot of work to be done before window closes !

JULY 2:
Edit: Rodon gone and Gray official.
JULY 3:
Edit: Parrott officially in First Team Squad. Robson remains in the U21s.
Devine and Scarlett added to 1st team squad.

Here is a full list of all 35 players currently included in the 1st team squad

With HG the big question is will Ange keep Skipp and promote Parrott?

Let's assume they both are included as CT along with Whiteman and Austin to give us our full CT quota for UEFA games.

Robson will likely be kept as an over age player in the U21s or potentially as the 4th CT man if Whiteman leaves.
Edit : Parrott and Skipp transferred. Robson would be a "free pick" for EL games.

Of our association players and transferred U21s you would think that Spence will not be included in the squad and is highly likely to sold. Davies could well leave as well.
Loans likely for Phillips and Vuskovic and probably Veliz although I think not a full season loan for him.

Edit: July 22: Vuskovic on loan.

NHG:

Royal, Reguillon and Gil will definitely leave and GLC and Hojbjerg are highly likely to also go. Potentially Solomon or even Bissouma?

If 5 left that would leave us with 14 NHG for EPL and 17 for UEFA so in theory we could register all our NHG U21s Bergvall, Vuskovic and Veliz. Of course Vuskovic highly likely to be loaned.

In the EPL none of our U21s need be included in the squad of 25.

Edit: July 22. Vuskovic loaned and Hojbjerg transferred.

Makes sense to bring back Edwards or KWP as this would help both CT & HG

Spurs have a lot of very good forward players in u21's, so not sure it helps to bring back Edwards.

KWP makes more sense as we are light in full back positions, but with Archie Gray very likely joining (who can cover RB), part of the rationale goes away, although for EL Gray will count as an 'association trained' player for first 2 seasons, List B/u21 in 3rd season and club trained after that. But with Southampton back in PL the player may need to be persuaded ?

Players 24 or under:

Porro
Dragusin
Van De Ven
Udogie
Sarr
Gray
Bergvall
Johnson
Kulusevski

Many more in and around the set up as well like Vuskovic, Phillips, Hall, Moore, Veliz etc.

We have plenty of talent now with high ceilings of growth. Neto, Calafiori and Eze next Daniel ta very much.

That group of forwards is looking rough and the only 2 midfielders I trust are Sarr and Maddison. Maybe Bentancur if he recovers physically.

A lot of work to do.

With the 9 players you list included (and Lloris, Kane, Dier leaving) I suspect our average squad age will have reduced to age 25 or so (which can only improve with Vuskovic joining next summer and may be a few of our own youngsters) and many of those you list will be with us for a good few years, giving us a good base to build from.

As Starks Starks said excellent recruitment over the last few years to get us to this point

A brief reminder that u21's out of the academy can be added to the squad outside of registration of squad of 25 player rules.

So the likes of Lankshear, Devine, Donley, Hall, Moore, Gunter, Scarlett could play for Spurs over and above the registered 25 man squad

Current squad contract expiry dates:

2024 - None
2025 - Lo Celso, Reguilon, Davies, Forster, Whiteman, Son (rumours of one year club extension still to be exercised)
2026 - Gil, Royal, Bissouma, Bentancur, Moore
2027 - Romero, Richarlison, Spence, Skipp, Devine, Scarlett, Donley
2028 - Solomon, Maddison, Porro, Kulusevski, Vicario, Phillips
2029 - Van de Venn, Johnson, Austin, Bergvall, Hall, Lankshear, Veliz,
2030 - Udogie, Sarr, Dragusin, Gray

Highlighted in bold are players, who imo are the minimum to move on now (we still have 4 more players than we can accommodate in the squad.

Only a selection of youth contracts are included.

Overall, the player contracts are well administered. Spurs will need to consider whether Bentancur and Bissouma are staying long term and extend contracts which are now down to 2 years in length. Moore as a youngster will get a new contract in August and probably extended again in a years time (legally long contracts are not enforceable on u18's)

I’m really confused about how we are displaying this data. So let’s keep this simple.

UEFA rules are more stringent than EPL so let’s use theirs. UEFA allows in a 25 man squad
a) 17 Johnny foreigners max
b) 4 home grown non-club trained slots but any extra here reduce your max in a) above
c) 4 home grown club trained slots but any extra reduce your max in a) and b) above
d) unlimited under 21’s

So ideally we want minimum 4 b‘s which we have in Forster, Spence, Maddison, Gray and Johnson and will still have even if Spence is sold (hopefully not)

We want 4 c’s but we only have 3 in Austin, Whiteman and Skipp. If Skipp is sold and Whiteman isn’t picked (do you need 4 GK in a 25 man squad particularly if your U21 GK could do the job?) then we only have 1.

We have a shit ton of d) who look decent as subs / alternates.

My only question, I’m thinking Bergvall and Veliz will be a d) even though not HG? If U21 doesn’t matter which association trained for Sarr when he was that age?

In both UEFA and the EPL you are only allowed to have a maximum of 25 players in the squad.

The EPL allows you to have unlimited players under the age of 21 who do not have to be included in the squad of 25. So Bergvall and Gray etc do not have to be included in the EPL squad of 25.

However UEFA rules say that players under the age of 21 who have not been at the club for a minimum of 2 years have to be included in the UEFA squad of 25.
