Well for me the youngsters are our future and some of them absolutely have a good level of technical ability and our better than the likes of Davies, royal, Solomon, Werner etc.

Yes he has the stats but break it down and when it really matters against the top teams what’s his record? He scored v pool when we were being thrashed. Also how many times does he lose the ball so easily? It’s not just about the stats it’s about overall play helping the team keep the ball, creating chances, being a second assister by beating a man playing it to someone else who then makes final pass to scorer. No doubt he has a certain skill set but I reckon it’s more for a counter attacking team or an attack in transition. Against low block tight defences he needs to do better.

I've watched a bit of Devine previously and not a lot of the others, but before we can lay claim to them being ready it would be good to see them put under a lot of pressure, closed down immediately when they receive the ball etc...They will most likely be the targets (weak links, if not technically but also mentally) by the oppo if selected.

For context though compared to players like Tripps, Sisoko, Reggie etc, who were garbage when pressed they are way above them already. I guess it's mostly my side not knowing their game well enough to be bold enough to make that shout.

when you got wingers that literally can only add value when they are put in behind you are in trouble! cant get momentum going or really get on top of the opposition as you dont have the forward players with the ability and nous to really suffocate and drain them down.

with son and johnson as wingers it doesnt matter who the other 9 are you aint winning shit. they have the ball too much and are required to provide football quality, they cant do that. very limited players and we need better simple as.

johnson might get a G/A a game but for the 89:55 seconds other than that hes a man down so his contribution to the game is still a negative one overall.

the whole stat thing makes me laugh. city scored as many goals without haaland as they do with him, he just gets the bulk. if anything they were a better side without him, far more dominant in possession and really had sides pinned in and fucked. if you saw haalands stats youd think they would struggle without him and question where the goals would come from....it comes from having actual footballers linking up with each other!
