With Gray we waited until we found out how much Leeds actually wanted and then pounced.
Could well be a similar scenario with Gallagher. But would he want to come here?

The so called ITKs including Romano haven’t a clue what Spurs are up to transfer wise, that is obvious hence why we are getting linked with Chiesa who really isn’t an Ange type player. I personally believe the top target is Neto purely because Ange was waxing lyrical about him on his punditry stint and probably Eze with maybe a left back and striker at the end of the window

yayyyyy Neto available for 20 games a season at most...yayyyyy can't wait.

As a player he's brilliant but please please avoid.

At around £40m I think Gallagher is worth trying for, but as you say he might prefer to go to Spain.

IMO we lose more without Maddison than we do without Sarr. Bergvall looks ready to me if we need to rotate him with Sarr and then there is Bentancur and where Ange sees him playing.

I would hope we are still looking at an Eze or Baena type who can play wide but also allows us to rotate with Maddison and not get a drop off in creativity.

Also Gallagher going to Atléti for €35m… I guess Ange wasn’t that keen after all?

We did it last season and had a fantastic start.

We 100% did not.

We left ONE deal to last minute - Johnson.

We had Udogie locked up already ahead of last summer, but he de facto joined squad from start of the summer.
Madders AND Vicario joined from first day of window (!)
Solomon was closed on 11.07.
Micky official deal date was 08.08 (so 5 days before season opener), but if I recall correctly it was more or less sealed by this time last year.

So it is polar opposite of last season - we had THREE starting players coming in on first day of transfer window (!).
Right now we have signed 3 18-year olds, but no players in their prime age.

Players will come and Ange himself has made it clear we know who we want and haven’t shifted that focus. I am sure we will see movement soon, probably when we’re back from SK.

But what if a couple of the youngsters have really made us sit up and take notice and we’re now considering whether we need a £50m option somewhere? Is that such a bad thing?
That’s why I think adding 2 or 3 in attacking positions won’t happen. It would be blocking the pathway for the most talented crop of youngsters I can remember

I think it’ll be 1 - and only the exact profile we are looking for (good in 1 vs 1, wide player)

Then if any big money bids come in for someone like Richy (only place I can see that happening is Saudi money), a replacement

Don’t think Toney will happen, too old and too expensive
