I had to go for an MRI scan this week and there was a whiteboard with loads of signatures of sports people on it who’d gone in for scans. Guess whose scrawl was there?
We can have a maximum of 21 non-club trained players for EL.
Assuming Royal, Reggie and GLC leave and Phillips and Veliz are loaned here is the list of 21 non-CT players at the club:
We are allowed a maximum of 17 NHG players.
We can add 2 NHG players but only if we "lose" 2 HG players.
We can add up to 15 more HG players in theory but likewise we would have to "lose" the same amount of NHG players.

yea thats it. you cant give him the ball to feet. you know if you give him the ball to feet hes in a position that hes going to struggle with. just playing simple football is a huge task for him that hes not comfortable with, because guess what??..hes not a footballer!
Mike McGrath has a history of linking players to us and then that player going into sign a new contract. He’s done it three or four times in recent years. He’s always doing agents favours.
It’s obvious we aren’t even in for him. We haven’t been linked by anyone serious in the press for months.
Remember that we can have an unlimited number of B-List players to supplement the EL squad . Players who were born on or after 1st January 2003, for the 2024/25 season, and have been with the club for 2 years. So the likes of Donley, Lankshear, Devine, Moore, Hall, Scarlett.
No need to pick Forster IMO as he is (a) not suited to how we play and (b) no longer agile enough. Austin counts as club trained, so frees up an extra space for senior non-club trained players.
With the emergence of Moore, and Son looking like he will be competing with Werner for LWF this year, if we do sign Neto or Eze then Solomon probably will be surplus.
As an aside, both Gray and Bergvall will count as club trained once they hit 21, as will all the academy players coming through, so in a couple of years we will have no issues with these quotas at all.

But Hermoso is a left footed centre back, who has played left back in his career. Really good progressive passer. (looking at the stats)

IMO, seems more like we are but we want to drive the price down.
Same pattern will happen with whoever our striker target is as well.
Feels like we will drag out one big transfer and then make it happen and hope fans will be placated instead of hoping for the OBVIOUS 2 we need to compete.
