Foreigners haven’t even done 1 year in the Premiership. We have bought top, scorers from both Spain and Netherlands ie Soldado and Jansen, notbforgettingnRebrov and they have all been disasters.

That might be more to do with our scouting, financing and lack of football vision in the past.

Many foreigners have done well as strikers in the prem. Henry, Bergkamp, Drogba, Van Pierse, Aguero, Suarez, Tevez, Isak, Van Nistelroy.

Right, even I am getting impatient now.

I’ve firmly believed that Levy would step up with a strong football setup and provide money to it once the stadium was built and we had some decent revenue through the door. And I’ve stood by this belief in the face of many on here taking the piss.

But I’m at the point of admitting defeat here. I get the “not as easy as buying a pint of milk” argument, but the window has been open long enough for us to have done some more business. Bergvall and Gray look good, but we need a couple of top quality players in to our first team. And with the money we should have and the infrastructure we have in place, signings shouldn’t be taking this long.

”Hello Mr Player, do you want to join us and if so, what salary are you looking for?” doesn’t seem to be the most time consuming conversation to have. Levy, Lange, etc - fucking get on with it. I’ll admit I’ve been wrong all along unless something major pops soon, but I’ll be fucking furious if I have to.
Noises coming out of club are that we are not looking to have subpar players anymore - it’s better to sign no one than someone who isn’t right for the project… otherwise you are left trying to sell mediocre players two years later with no PL buyers and everyone on the continent broke.

Let’s bring in the right players even if they take a bit longer to bring in.

So... I think there is consensus in the fact that we would need -

- New ST (which means Richie would be free to leave)
- New winger

But biggest questionmark for me is - are we also planning to reinforce the midfield with another #6 / #8 ?
Haven't been many more consistent links aside from Gallagher who will join Atleti.

We have Bissouma, Bentancur, Sarr, Maddisson, Gray, Bergvall and Skippy there with GLC sure to leave.

I personally feel that for #8 we have enough options. So we could go for #6 maybe? Or do we believe that Gray would be ready to play as #6 in EPL in Ange sysetem?

I think my perfect window from potentially doable targets would be - Gyrokes, Eze, Emerson from Atalanta. Yea, it would be an outlay of 195 mEUR, but then we'd have quite some options around the field, wouldn't we.... And also chance to recoup some of the money from sales of Richie, Royal, Solomon and some others hopefully.

After clearout from on-field players then we'd have -
- Defenders - Romero, VDV, Dragusin, Davies, Udogie, Porro, Spence
- Midfielders - Emerson, Bissouma, Bentancur, Sarr, Maddisson, Gray, Bergvall, Skippy, Devine
- Attackers - Gyorkes, Eze, Son, Johnson, Kulusevski, Werner, Moore, Lankashear, Donley

Lo Celso is not mediocre, he's injury prone. You'd think we'd want to avoid injury prone players, but apparently we're looking at Neto.
