Ange is a Levy hire. By all accounts, some one to tow the company line as well.
If Levy and ENIC went, I wouldn't be surprised to see a new owner bring their own man in pretty quickly.

But we didn’t have the luxury of a full season for Ange to assess what we needed up front

Conte was in charge for more of that season and Stellini just continued with his plan when he took over. It was Contes project that finished 8th and left the squad in a brutal mess of OAPs that we needed to move on and modernise
Werner, Solanke, and Mikey Moore, that's three attacking players signed this summer.
