Slight pinch of salt required here as I haven't had anything from this person before but I do know a coach from Wolves (happy to share behind the scenes).

He said we had been in contact re Gomes and the feeling from within Wolves is we will pay what Wolves are looking for (around £50m is internal rumours - add ons included). Apparently talks have been positive thus far and there is a feeling from both sides that a deal could be reached this week 🤞🏼.

This is a transfer speculation thread and reading about wild rumours is part of the fun.
If only posts about genuine links were allowed then this thread would be very short
 
If we’re not going for another MF it means Bergvall and Gray will get plenty of game time!

Bissouma, Gray, Bentancur, Maddison, Bergvall, Sarr is okay for 3 positions.

Kulu can also play in the attacking role of the MF 3

I still think with the way we play we could do with a Kante style pitbull which would help us tactically in games. Someone who can press, track, cover runners, ball carry. Sarr is the only one of that type and not quite that type.

Even City took about 5 years and a billion pounds to create a PL; winning squad.

And that was with doped money

So without that it takes longer. We had arguably the best squad in PL in 2026/17 timeframe but Poch and/or players blew that chance and Poch didn't want to sell Eriksen for 100m to re-invest, so squad gradually became too old ........ and then Ndombele and Lo Celso arrived in 2019, and we know how that went.
