You're right. We should always be reactionary after 90 minutes of football when judging a footballers importance to the club and whether or not he should be sold.

But then we'd probably be left with no players come the end of the season. As I imagine most clubs would be.

I think he knows he is under pressure. It's lifted either by his own actions or with help from the coaching team

Look at City or even that other lot. There is composure. Belief. Not in all their playets but more than us.

We need a calm authoritative head on the pitch and we simply haven't got it.

Get that and so much looks better.

I can't for the life me figure out why he won the ball back brilliantly in the Leicester half, had the whole pitch to exploit, but put his foot on the ball and looked back.
Not only was it a terrible decision in isolation, but it was also totally uncharacteristic of him. He would almost always run towards goal and drill a shot/cross in without hesitating.

Why did he hesitate? What caused him to not do the thing he isn't actually bad at?
Was it orders? Or was it self doubt?

Self doubt. Uncertainty. Lack of clarity. Everything that a composed leader provides to self and others.

It's not even rocket science.

I was just a bit worried that it was being coached into him. TBH, I wanted Johnson on the right over Kulu because Kulu does that all the time and it drives me banana's.
If Johnson is going to start doing it to, well there may be a bigger problem than individual players.

There was a bit in play Johnson was given a basic pass and completely lost it and went out for a throw. Sign of nerves that was. Kulu needs to start saturday. I gave johnson benefit of doubt last season as a young player. Ange needs to boost his confidence. Was anonymous Monday.

The problem with Kulu is his insistance on slowing attacks down. Teams like Everton will sit deep and we'll play the whole game in front of them. On the 1 or 2 occasions per 90 we could break and get in behind, we don't want Kulu tasked with it.
With regards to Johnson being anonymous, at one point the commentator said "most of Spurs attacks are coming down the left" and he was right. But why was that? And was that the reason Johnson was anonymous? It's harsh to accuse him of something he couldn't help. If the defence were constantly sending Son away (who did fuck all with the ball) it's hardly Johnsons fault.

It's good he wants to do well though. In some ways, I'd rather a player dicks something up trying to do something than hides from the ball and avoids being involved in order to avoid errors.
