why has he been cast out? he was meant to be hot property.
Honestly it's hard to suss it out but suffice to say Italy has not been the friendliest of environments for players of colour, I know there was some obscenely offensive post put out on twitter last season that had racial undertones iirc and he unfollowed them on socials and took the club badge off his page.
Not to mention even without bringing race into it Italian fans are fucking nutters, there's a story about their ultras stealing the steering wheel out of Spalettis fiat panda early into his tenure with a banner on display saying "well give you back your car as soon as you agree to leave". Yeah, the same guy to win them their first trophy since Maradona was still pulling on their shirt. They make us lot on here look like a bunch of thoroughly well adjusted chaps I tell you.

Worth noting he still got 15 in 25 in the league last season, even with all the madness going on and Napoli themselves playing poorly. Make no mistake I think he will get obscene numbers in Turkey if he does indeed go there and remain there for the season.

Osimsen must have the worst agent in football.
If he flops in Turkey he can forget about £500k per week or whatever he was asking.

Its smart business, you dont want to be lumbered with players on big wages that don't work out like ndombele and then you can't shift them. Look at utd.

He would rather reward those who have proven they can play at this level.

We’ll miss out on good players though. £150k a week (whilst excessive to you and I) isn’t top earners in the PL nowadays. It’s probably the going rate for an England international.

I get it 100%.
You are saying that Ange is lying.
Could it not simply be that he is saying something positive to show loyalty to the club and to boost the confidence of the players, while holding a somewhat different opinion privately? I mean, people do this all the time.

He can rate the players brought in and still be underwhelmed overall. He's not necessarily lying, he's choosing his words carefully to walk that tightrope. He's not a prick like Conte.

If what Pok says is true in relation to wages then Levy has to be gearing up for a sale or partial sale/investment. Either way we cannot compete if we are not willing to pay going rates, not saying we have to pay ridiculous prices, but if we cannot at least compete financially with our closest rivals for the best players to improve our team then how can we expect to compete on the field.
Yesterday was a great example, Maddison and Bissouma go off, instead of an Eze coming in we are relying on Bergvall who needs more time to establish himself.

Their chairman's a loon. Put him on big money with a buy-out clause of 150m thinking easy money. Then FFP happened and he was still holding out for it until near the end of window before he realised no one would pay it. Reduced the fee and Chelsea and Saudi came in for him. Osimen didn't want to go Saudi or take a pay cut to go Chelsea so refused.

Napoli chairman then didn't put him in the squad to force him to move next year/ window. Osimen went to turkey on loan as there was no other option.

That's without all the shit he put up with last season.

Wouldn't believe he is holding out for 500k as Napoli are releasing stuff to cover their backs.

A lot more tolerant in Turkey?

Nobody else bought him either
They didn’t have PSR headroom nor did they have an obscenely low, cut to the bone wages vs revenue % like us to comfortably enable a big salary

Tbh we should have gone for Isak, PL proven. They would have sold for a mega price and he would be here for ten years - £150M would have returned value in x3 years in CL revenue. No ambition from baldy

We are all headed to the same place. The only thing that matters is the journey.
The problem occurs when the vehicle you're taking the journey in is always in a state of near completion. It looks alright and handles ok but you glance around and still see some plastic furnishings and the spare tyre's a budget-priced Tomket.

Spurs. Forever tantalising.
