Manager Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

But I also think another voice/tactics can make us a force.

Solanke (not sure who to blame for that) worried me intensely and yet the same myopic few dismissed my concern.

I hope Postecoglou can pull it round but the signs rarely get it wrong.
na its done, once this tone happens it never comes round, hes finished. today was a huge game and hes failed, we lost to an average Woolwich side and did you see any real fight from the players? there was no real desire to win, that tells me they aint in for this guy and they are sick of this pub league cunt too.

agree that we can be a force, in the hands of someone who knows what they are doing this squad is decent.this guy is making so many glaring blunders with it that its laughable.

its been one huge mistake after another with this guy, enough's enough now. if it means losing the next 3 to get him out i rather that happen and hopefully we can salvage the season. keeping him is going to lead to not only shit results but one unenjoyable experience for an entire season.

I think he was completely out of order to that interviewer. It was a fair question she asked, and did so respectfully. He shouldn't act like a child and take the loss like a fucking grown up.
He’s a bullying prick.

Remember how he spoke to the Spurs lad who does the interviews for Spurs tv. Was a complete cunt to him from day one.

And he’ll be laughing and telling jokes to the media in a couple of days.

yes we absolutely were. As ive explained he was aware of Woolwich's weak point being the lack of runners in the middle and played a single pivot to take away our main advantage. Terrible finishing and poor last passes saved us but his 'tactics' absolutely failed. We were the home team that created next to nothing in terms of clear cut chances and next to nothing in terms of having control in key areas.

Conte, Mourinho etc would have smelt blood with the gooners lack of cms and played a double pivot to gain control of the midfield battle. Ange sees they are missing players and says "oh yeh mate ill just add 1 more attacking midfielder mate". There's no actual thought process.

Didn't you say before the game that Odourguard out meant single pivot was the right choice?

How did terrible finishing save us?

How did playing a single pivot take away our advantage? We dominated the midfield easily. The issue was breaking down 11 men behind the ball.

Our attack has no chance of making any chemistry because we insist on taking 37 passes to get the ball to them. At which point the entire opposition are in shape there's no chance of scoring.
This is so common, so predictable, that it can't be anything other than coaching.

Watch this from Mourinho.
Shots from outside the box
Blistering counter attacks with 4 v 2 at one point

We see none of that anymore. We pass it side to fucking side and backwards all match and it's boring, pointless, ineffective and easy for any half decent team to defend.

There was way too much sideways passing and mostly because they weren't pressing and just dropping back like a Jose or Dyche team. You can pass forward as quick as you like, if there is 11 men in front of you defending you need to do something special to break it down.

In those situations you pass the ball to move players not move the ball and we didn't do that well enough today because our players have no chemistry and understanding together. When you have a connection with your team mates you know what they will do instinctively and you start your run before the defender react. You can be one step ahead. Our attackers have none of that at the moment. They are reacting to each other at the same time as the defenders.

The manager market is complete shit right now, there’s no one out there who can rival Arteta and we passed up on the only one who could in Nagelsmann because this arrogant board thought they could do transfers better than him. Now we’ve got a transfer strategy that leads to an attack full of midtable players.

It's not shit. You think it is. Postecoglou is making a case for the market being very appealing.

He is not adding value. Full stop.

You have just made my day with that one.

Ok, I can log off now. This site can't get any more absurd than that.

eh? when did i ever say that?

I said that Ange will play a single pivot and named the 11 he would start because after the Odegaard injury I was certain he would go with that and his first 11 was extremley predictable.

We dominated the midfield easily? you must be smoking the same shit Ange is when he tells us we were in total control.

See this is a fallacy.
When they attack us they're in our half. There are, every single game, multiple opportunities to attack at speed with numbers.
And we don't do it. We insist on putting a foot on the ball and having a look around, or passing inside instead of throwing the lines

Teams do attack us. They do get bodies in our half. We just don't break fast enough.

That's what belief and conviction actually means though. Sticking to something when the easiest thing to do is lose belief and conviction.
The truth is he has never done anything of note in any decent standard of football.

So his prickly reactions come across more like his own realisations that he's been found out at this level as opposed to actual conviction in what he's doing. It's a defence mechanism.

Of course he will keep trotting out the party lines and milk this for as long as he can because he certainly isn't moving onto a better contract than he has now.

Gooner scum are of course cunts but Arteta is milesssssss ahead of our manger it's not even funny.

At the game he was legit telling his players to hold and not be fooled by attempting to press in non threatening areas. He was shouting at his players to hold...then shouting to press when he sensed it was appropriate to do so.

Arteta's a dick but he's got a first class football brain, there can be no doubt about that.
