Player Brennan Johnson

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I’ve seen nothing in your posts you’ve made on this forum to a) believe for a second you support spurs and b) are worth an iota of my time so…
Another snarky poster who revels in bad news, defeats and our misery.

FWIW, Brennan Johnson had more EPL goal Involvements in his first season at Spurs than Lucas Moura did in any of his four (and a half?) with the club.

Took his goal well so can't complain too much but will say that i hope his finishing needs to get better and i'll just leave it at that

he was positive in his play today, normally I feel he takes the sidewards or backwards pass, But today he played front foot trying to go forward, Well done More of it pleasae

I draw the line at abuse (not constructive criticism) of any of our players so long as they’re trying. That’s all I ask of them.

Ndombele I have no time or respect for, for obvious reasons. But don’t even try and compare him and his attitude to the likes of Moura and Johnson. If you can’t see the difference, then there’s no point in discussing it.

Grow up and bye bye.
Man-child. He’s hardly abused anyone, just stated an opinion

Johnson made some horrendous decisions yesterday and he wouldn’t last 2/3 games at Liverpool or the filth playing like that. Great goal, massive issues in his play but as you say he was trying and it was an improvement on earlier performances but let’s not bury our head in the sand - he has a long way to go

Lol ok. He’s better than Salah after scoring 1 PL goal this season. He deserves to be shushing people lolol. Hope it doesn’t backfire
Who mentioned Salah? Just because you enjoy going to the extreme, doesn’t mean anyone else has.

As for backfiring, it won’t for almost everyone, but you’ll think it has when he goes a match without scoring or assisting. You’ll take the opportunity to revel in “hey look at me, I was right about Johnson - he’s shite!”.

Most of us will accept that he won’t score or assist every match, accept he’s trying and get behind him to encourage him to do so in the next one. It’s called “being a supporter”.

He scored a goal and only missed 2-3 sitters. I'm happy about his performance. Class player.
What more can we ask?

We can ask that between him and Son they finish that absolute sitter to kill the game. We can ask that he takes a touch past his defender like he did for the goal 2 or 3 more times per game. We can ask that he finds Solanke and Son at the back post with crosses. We can ask that he uses this springboard for his season and never looks back.

If he does those things, he's having a massive season for us. And I've said for a long while that I think he will do those things.

Be quiet Zomb. You of all people can shush about abusing players. That’s your MO.

Grow up and don’t quote me again. Got it?

Dickheads behind me were chanting some nonsense about him being lightweight when the rest of the stadium was singing his name

You don't have to like him or rate him. But you also could just STFU in the ground and keep it to yourself. He's scored 2 very important goals with quality finishes this week. Give him a fucking break.

This is the reason why I'm saying there is a difference between the mugcunts that will have abused him on his socials and posters who criticize him.

And also why I said there is no accusation at one by calling out the other.

And also why a poster like you who actually goes to games, still spends money and supports the players and managers in the flesh, wouldn't need to take it personally when the muggy little melts being abusive get called out.

And guess what, you didn't take it personally.

Others in here, however... And again, I wonder why.

Johnson showed both sides today but still was a solid contributor to this excellent team of performance.

Good - The goal is real quality and I was just bitching after the Woolwich game that he has to be able to win and score some 1 on 1s and he did here. So far he’s really only been able to go to his right foot in these situations. If he gets overplayed, he may need to figure out how to go left.

Neutral - I’d rate most of the rest of the game average, with some ok plays and some mistakes.

Bad - That finish on sons layoff and a few other finishes were not up to standard. He probably had the most clear cut opportunities out of anyone. On the son layoff, I know it was a bit heavy but Johnson can still smash that near post. He’s got to test the keeper from that tight.

Lively thread all of a sudden, people on here who don't rate this player are being called poisonous cunts, all because of a goal, by people claiming to hate "non constructive criticism" of a millionaire who will never read the posts on this forum.

Btw, I've been at many more a game where his first touch or decision is greeted with a groan and rightly so but I guess a goal in the sunshine against the mighty Brentford is enough to magically give a player the technical ability required to start for a top 6 team.
On this bit - you made me reflect on how much the people around you can impact your experience at the game as it doesn’t usually happen where I am. yesterday though there were two blokes where the usual season ticket holders normally stand that did it all game - felt like they were doing an impression of talk sport rather than actually watching. It can be hard to ignore - the negativity only helps the opposition.

I can't speak because I don't go due to living in another country (mostly) but it's time these cunts get told to fuck off in person.

Out of possession he was an animal. Pressing and locking down the entire right flank, sprinting back for covering tackles with Romero...the whole deal. Needed to finish the sitter from Son tho, agreed.
