I've been saying this for a couple of years. Just stop the clock. Effective playing time. Today most gsmes are around 2x30 minutes. Bite I wouldn't mind 2x35. When is no use delaying the will need less delays so I guess 2x35 will make the games about as long as today.

Best thing, everybody knows when the game is ending, not just one stubborn idiot with a wish to decide games by waiting to end the game until "this attack" is over.

We say that every year & it’s just through small margins city nick it. Son should have won it for them last season really. Be hard for city to keep nicking it with a weaker team & reduced spending. Plus you would think less motivated & hungry. But city nicked it last years so fingers crossed!
With city probably getting a points deduction & processing closer to going it’s only a matter of time really . But longer it’s delayed of better!
I remember us under Poch.

Opportunity isn’t a lengthy visitor. If their window with this squad build hasn’t shut already, it’s definitely not staying open for long.

When you have to scrap and cheat for results, you need a siege mentality that’s not easy to keep up for long.

This is what annoys me about the "lets just play 35mins and use a stopwatch" solution.....

No; like many other scenarios, we need proper officiating and consistent enforcement..... Not to bend to the will of the shit-housing.
Having effective playing time (say 35 min) is the most effective and fair system.
I've heard for decades people saying, "We need proper officiating and consistent enforcement." And so far it has not happened.
And if you think it will happen all of a sudden, then dream on...

That’s huge no Rodri for the season. City just pipped Woolwich with him. Looking like Woolwich's title . Going to be tough for city to keep getting up for the battle when they have won it so much. Where as Woolwich are desperate for it. Hope I am wrong 3 years running!

Three years running eh?

Have you considered an alternative approach?

I have a feeling they won’t need to scrap against Leicester, Southampton or Bournemouth which are their next three fixtures.

The issue for us under Conte for example is that we’d play a Leicester and STILL play in the 5 sitting in deep and allowing the opposition to have more of the ball.

IF they start doing that in those type of fixtures then sure, of course it won’t work all season long…

They definitely should win those games easily

That would still legitimise people delaying as it would stop the other team's momentum. I would prefer yellow + time added on

This lot have now officially been rumbled. For the people on here still twerking for them, it's about to get alot tougher. The gamesmanship gets you that tiny incremental margin that turns draws into wins. Now that comfort blanket is gone they will blow up. If Pochettino's Spurs had been given the help this lot have had we win the title Leicester did. Can't wait to see them fail again.

Yeah it’s all being flagged up now. If refs don’t punish them they’ll look weak. They’ve shot themselves in the foot here being such bellends. I know our officials are shit, but they don’t like being MADE to look shit! 😂

Not convinced by them at all.

Bit rich because they just rope a doped us but they are stealing results. Really really hard to do that all season and they aren’t showing any signs of being able to play any other way.
I don't know, no one knows but Klopp actually got at Pep and beat City more than he lost to them so I'm unconvinced about Artetas idea of 'miracle' - a fucking point.
The genius Arteta lost 7 out of 9 against Pep's City, drew once. (League record)
