This is just the sort of European game we’ve been stuffing up the last few years. We were far from perfect, but it doesn’t matter ; a win, new players blooded and key ones rested. More confidence for BJ. Say what you will about Ange but he’s certainly got balls, and tonight it paid off on multiple fronts.

The two goals came when we were ‘up against it ‘ because we kept attacking no matter what. Not for the faint hearted, but that’s Tottenham for you.

Finally, not saying he should have played to night, but Micky VDV makes us a very different proposition.

The trick will be us getting Sonny, Odobert & Richarlison (and Udogie) back over the coming month.... Then we can mix it up a little (and feed game-time to those who need it) without going full B-team.

Feels like getting Richy back is key but seems unlikely. I thought lankshear did well but watching it drunk so happy to be corrected.

Through on goal - only the keeper to beat - loads of time - thought to himself, "Last 2 times I fucked it up by shooting, so..." - tried to tap it past the keeper - kicked it too hard - scrabbled desperately after it, but it was too late - tried to shoot from an impossible angle - hit the side netting - lol.
