Match Europa League - Ferencváros vs Tottenham. 5:45, Thursday 3rd October

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I thought Archie Gray was great for the first hour or so but it seemed to go a bit wrong when he swapped with Davies and played left back.

There were 10-15 minutes when we were getting slaughtered down that side. Glenn was tearing his luxuriant hair out and rightly so I thought.

I thought that was a mixture of a) Gray being very adventurous going forward (can't blame him - it's what he's been trained to do and is too young and inexperienced to switch up) and b) Kulu and Madders simply coughed the ball up every time he got it forward to them leaving Gray stranded upfield.

He did get exposed late in the second half but he was superb otherwise (for his age) and the only one of all our youngsters on display I reckon are ready for a Premier League start. Moore not too far behind mind you...

Don't make me add your name to Deuterz in the little book

Don’t tell him Pike!

This is just the sort of European game we’ve been stuffing up the last few years. We were far from perfect, but it doesn’t matter ; a win, new players blooded and key ones rested. More confidence for BJ. Say what you will about Ange but he’s certainly got balls, and tonight it paid off on multiple fronts.

The two goals came when we were ‘up against it ‘ because we kept attacking no matter what. Not for the faint hearted, but that’s Tottenham for you.

Finally, not saying he should have played to night, but Micky VDV makes us a very different proposition.
Good win. No negatives at all as far as I can see unless there were any injuries.
Agree, job done.
Youngsters got a good run out...
Big guns got some minutes to maintain fitness at the end ..

Mind you, for the record, we DID concede when all our big players were on the pitch, and not just the youngsters!!

It's not like GD or Away goals will come into it, so whilst 2-0 would've been nice, 2-1 really isn't the end of the world...

We'd have drawn that in years gone by (just see the mess Man Utd have made of THEIR 2- goal lead so far this evening!!)

He did another Timo. Through on goal - only the keeper to beat - loads of time - thought to himself, "Last 2 times I fucked it up by shooting, so..." - tried to tap it past the keeper - kicked it too hard - scrabbled desperately after it, but it was too late - tried to shoot from an impossible angle - hit the side netting - lol.
In an odd way it is almost impressive his ability to continuously find inventive new ways of fucking up. Just thank God he didn't choose another profession. I wouldn't want him handling heaving machinery under stressful conditions

for the newbies Moore and Gray impressed me, Bergvall not so much, I kind of got the impression that he was trying "too hard."
Lankshear.....a lot of bustle, but without product..........or promise, from this performance.

He has great feet and close control- really got to get him some minutes at his natural 6 position.
Thought he was v good with the ball especially in tight situations. Also not afraid to do some nice back heels. Good driving forward as well just a bit weak when defending. However he played left CB / FB so not his natural position. Certainly faired better than Lucas who I think wants to hold to the ball too long. He does the good work then loses it.
