I’ve stewed on it… and the answer is yes.

This fucking clown said out loud that losing the CL Final was his finest moment but for pretty much every Spurs fan that was the moment any soul they had left in this club died.

I don’t even feel it anymore when the latest episode of “Spursy” drops. It’s vacuous and dull. Maybe relegation would actually feel like something.

I don’t know about a fresh start but I’m at the point whereby if we are relegated, it’s a shrug of the shoulders and just relief from having to follow this team over the course of a season. I do enjoy some of the football we play and love the wins when we get them, but I won’t miss our inability to see any challenge through to completion and the maddening collapses we subject ourselves to regularly.

I'm trying hard to take the birds eye approach with all these ups and downs atm, but I can't say I disagree with much of what you've said either....

Taking the macro view I would vote no. But having been the 'best of the rest' for twenty years and only having one League Cup to show for it I'm not sure what it would change if we did get relegated.

I was eavesdropping a couple of ST holders on the train and they were discussing Liverpool away tix and one said 'we applied for 12 and got 11 and the other said 'we got all ours' (similar amount from memory).

If we got relegated we would have better away days, bigger allocations and more chance of fans outside of the cartel getting their hands on one. Silver linings.

You guys realize new owners doesn’t necessarily mean man city-like owners?

It’s an absolute crap shoot as to who we’d end up with and what we’d turn into.

Trying to get new owners after a relegation sounds terrible. We’d be targeted by businessmen that want to buy low and make a profit.

We’d be WAY behind where we are now. Probably looking at mid table for half a decade and MAYBE making it back into Europe. Or maybe like Everton, who can only dream of Europe.

Anyways, I’m levy out and would be intrigued by new owners but asking for relegation is just a disaster in waiting.

I cannot believe for any second that any fan of a football club, regardless of who that club is, would wish for their club to be relegated just to get new, unknown, untested owners.

People here calling each other out on questioning if the managers good enough in the long run, and calling people who suggest he might not be gooners.

Then in this thread people are so desperate to get rid of Levy for an unnamed, could quite literally be worse, owner that they would see the club get relegated. As if the arrogant assumption is we would come straight back up and flying with some new gold plated spurs supporting owner and life would be roses.

I don’t like the thing on this board where if someone has an opinion outside of the normal they must not be a spurs fan, but to suggest you think your own club should be relegated to make things better? Have a word with yourself. Ridiculous.

Thought about the initial question and I am a definite NO. NO NO

Hear me out we are Spurs we do Spursy so this is how this plays out

ENIC sell up for 4 billion, we get relegated as part of our deal with the devil . We stay down for 3 years Levy buys us back for 1 billion.

I’m so tempted to foul vote this just because.

Fuckity fuckity fuckity fuckity the fuck off.

Top 4s our everything!!! As Harry said for us it’s as good as it gets.

Just embrace Tottenham’s mediocrity. Life’s better that way. Consider this. Two league wins in 75 years. That’s shite!! But yet here we are still relevant.

No need to turn us into the Accrington Stanley of the south.

I’ve always said; knowing our luck, we’d end up with Mike Ashley 😂

Hmm. You lot sound like those women who stay in an abusive relationship with some evil brute because it's all you know. Everything is a risk but I vote for Starks Starks version of events. No relegation and great new owners.

As long as we controlled all of the games and had all of the possession and field tilt stats on our side , I'd be fairly content with relegation

Would be a good season

Possibly. In fact I’d argue that if we did get relegated we definitely won’t get new owners until we get back up because ENIC would not sell below what they consider peak PL value.
It could force civil war between Lewis and Levy though and the former may buy him out or
oust him and replace him with a new CEO. Levy is the primary issue, not the silent majority ownership.

It’s that little fuck that needs to be removed
