I think he will be given the season unless we are literally in the bottom six. Levy has really gone in on this one I fear. And in all truth it's not good for the club to get a frankly over jumpy tag.

Top 4? Its completely irrelevant in the long run. If the point is to build something, then it doesnt matter if we end 4th or 8th or 12th for one season. Or even two or three seasons. Ange has got a very young team. Several of them have only been here for 1 season and are still adapting to a very demanding style of football. I couldnt care less were we finish in the league this season. And I care even less about CL.
And the results the last 12 months is also irrelevant. Since the start of this season we have been playing way better than the table shows. Its the overall progress which is important. And i think that its clearly alot of progress from last season. And that is, now, in october, more important than how many points we have.

I agree- we should be aiming higher, but right now we are losing to Villa, Newcastle, Brighton and Spam. On that alone we deserve to be in about 8th or 9th (and we are just about there right now, actually...).

I would have agreed with all of that & given the benefit of any doubt until that second half, followed by that interview.
It was beyond shit effort and performance & the manager can’t come out afterwards and defend not making substitutes earlier when it was clear the wheel had come off plan A. It’s his bloody job to change things when it’s not working.

He's salary will be peanuts compared to what Jose and Conte were on. If the time comes to give him the boot his payoff won't be any hindrance.I think he's 1 year in to a 4 year contract mate
There's a reason most modern managers have the fullbacks overlap- fullbacks are naturally meant to be out wide, and somewhat deep, where they are naturally suited to delivering crosses while also being able to provide defensive cover on their wing. Having underlapping fullbacks be the main runner into the box is almost certain suicide though- so many times Udogie has lost possession in the box for us to immediately have VDV in a vital footrace to cover vs a winger. That's ok- Udogie is a fullback I'm not expecting him to play like a 10 in the box. I hope Ange isn't either, but, IDK sometime seems a little weird or off about Ange and I'm not sure he's entirely sound in his reasoning or thinking in this regard...
