Agree with you there on your post. But he shouldn’t be picking fights with the fans. Be diplomatic. Like I intimated I didn’t have a problem with it all but lots of fans did. I don’t think he handled it well.

He basically just needs to get the team to do the talking instead of him. We don’t need to hear from him midweek doing interviews to different tv stations. Both the Optus and the sky sports ones were not necessary. No other PL coach was doing as many interviews. Club need to get a handle on it.

Play the football. Wins more games. That’s all fans want.

Think the club want as much publicity as possible.
They book these interviews in.

International break. What else is he doing with his time? Daniel wants to get his hourly rates worth out of Ange I’m sure.

He can do interviews all day long if that’s how the club wants to gain more overseas interest in THFC.

Pretty much everyone in the whole ropey league table has won silverwear more frequently than us.
It's somewhat arrogant of us to assume the mantle of favourites to win something when we typically win fuck all.
We have gone out of domestic cups to worse teams than we will face in the ropey league.
Many times.
Many. Many times.

So in your mind we are not one of the favourites?

Yes we probably are, but then we all know how this club copes with expectations and pressure.

That’s why Ange is going to change this loser mentality the club has. If he can’t he’s probably out of a job if he continues to not give a shit about top 4. Which might not matter to him but it does to Daniel.

However we are in a competition with no Liverpool, Man City, Woolwich or Chelsea. 4 of the accepted big 5.

So in our own fans minds are Manchester united more likely to win this competition??

In which case why the fuck is anybody expecting to win any domestic silverware anytime soon. It’s clearly beyond our capabilities.

We are in a competition with teams who are a lot more tactical and canny than we are. Some of these Spanish and Italian teams will sus us right the fuck out.

We are absolute dog shit at the dark arts (in fact we have a coach who acts like they’re above us) and the dark arts tend to be a key character trait of teams who win European trophies.

Ange didn't have his head up his arse when he rightly criticised sections of our fanbase for not supporting the team. Our toxic rivalry with Woolwich was the problem in that situation, not him. All he wanted to do was win a game of football which is what managers are supposed to do. Quite frankly, I would be a lot more concerned if Ange didn't have anything to say after what happened in the City match.

I said at the time that Ange needs to be more understanding of the North London divide and that he wouldn't survive as a Tottenham manager with a "Not interested, mate" every time Woolwich came up but I don't think that extends to throwing a match and not commenting on fans rooting for the opposing team.

One of the things I like about Ange is that he stood up for the club from day one i.e. when he showed the door to that German journalist who paraded Kane's name and number on a Bayern Munich shirt before he signed for them. Ange had only been with us for five minutes but, as far as he was concerned, we were his club and God help anyone who disrespected us.

Ange fights for the shirt and the most important thing to remember is that his criticisms of the club's failings were accompanied by a resolve to put things right which is more than can be said for Conte.

We hired Ange for his hard-core Aussie sportsmanship and that's what we got. We didn't hire him to tread on egg shells.

It was so much more than that. Win that game and we (based on final day results) would have finished 4th and got top 4.
It doesn't matter if fans would rather sacrifice that than see Woolwich win the league. That would be in his objectives. It would be in the players objectives. Fuck, it's probably even part of Levy's absurd bonus.
Like it or not, it's a big deal for teams to be in it. No, it hasn't made us seriel winners in the past, nor is there any evidence it will in the future. But it's better to be in it than not.

No, not at all.

I think it's actually ridiculous to put seriel bottlers and non-cup winners as favourites or anywhere near the favourites.
It'll probably be a Spanish or German team. The only way we could have any shot is to effectively throw the league and finish bottom half and go very strong in every ropey league game.

And if we do that the tremendous pressure on us in every single Europa league game would be insane.

We don’t deal with pressure well.

Should a club 8th richest in world football be expected to win a European trophy, answer is yes absolutely.
However we all know that it's a case of " it's Tottenham lads" so going out in embarrassing style is always on the menu.
We probably should be able to lift a CL title in fairness, when I look at a club sevilla who are probably not bigger than spurs, they have won I think 3 or 4 Europa League cups in the past 15-20 years.

There is not much point continuing dialog.

I never mentioned possession in my post, but you plucked it out from nowhere as it's a trigger word for your compadres.

Ray Charles can see we are better in attack, improved in pressing, creating more decent chances, not playing crab football anymore, have tightened up on corners only conceded one (which was a foul) in 10 games, and are improving on the high line not getting cut open as much. That's just off my head and has fuck all to do with possession. Johnson also has scored more goals already than the entire last season.

Coventry we started with 8 changes and had a back 5 including GK that had not played one competitive match together. So no shit we were a bit lacking cohension. But Ange made the subs and the players responded and won the game. Result now is not the important thing though as we won, so you gotta moan about something right?

We lost against scum to a foul by an expert cunt. We also while doing some half decent things in attack had not discovered our finishing properly... Coventry game was the catalyst I believe, as shown by the increase in 3s scored afterwards.

Brighton was an anomaly. Cataclysmic fuckup that we should not have to witness again.
I still expect there to be some mistakes and bumps though. While you lot seem to think we are the finished article and expect, or are owed 3 points every game... To me it's clear we are building and are a work in progress. Quite a young unseasoned team implementing a radical style. There is progress but it has not fully translated into better results, YET.

If you look it up and check I think City won the title last year. I don't think they were deducted points as it doesn't count beating shit teams...
Lol, lets see in the coming games. Just don't go silent and hide when your asses are wrong.

That's probably because arrogant fans are lumping money on rather than any real expectation for us to win something.
Paddy Power probably already have a meme ready to mock us when we lose to some nobody when it's harder to lose than win.

if you're so fragile that you're quaking in fear at the prospect of a Paddy Power joke at our expense, I'd politely suggest that Spurs isn't the team for you to be supporting.

Just become an Oil Slaver or Madrid fan boi - hell, why not ride the Tets train at Scum if you're so fucking worried about internet memes from 20 something virgins :roflmao:
