Match Tottenham Hotspur vs. Manchester City, 20:15 GMT, Wednesday 30th October. League Cup Round of 16

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Villa drew 1-1 at home to Bournemouth this week and drew with Ipswich a few weeks back. They aren't exactly flying. On a going day we can definitely beat them. Just depends what Tottenham show up.

Surprised everyone here seems to think Villa are way better than us.

1 win in 4 in the league for Villa.

We're pretty good at home. Itll be a good game.

Odobert another sick note then?

Vic
Porro - Dragusin - Romero - VDV
Bentancur
Sarr - Maddison
Johnson - Solanke - Werner
Not much choice up top with Son and Odobert out. Moore isn't starting 3 in a row. That front 3 is pretty depressing.

Udogie needs benching and Spence is probably not fit. Davies needs to be put to pasture so I'd go for the solid defence we saw at the back end of last season. Ange was fine going against his principals against City last season to try and hand the title to the scum so lets do it again and progress in the cup.

You honestly seem surprised.

You get a hotdog and a handshake for winning the League Cup. That should tell you all you need to know where the priority lies on the list for the club.
I'll take that hotdog and handshake. At this point, everyone is desperate for something. Its not like we are a small club. We are rich a club but can't win a damn thing. That is embarrassing.

Thinking about tomorrow. Ange absolutely has to go strong.

If he plays a weaker side and we get knocked out to City's weaker side, the fans are going to go fucking mental, and understandably.

Will be one of only two winnable trophies gone yet again early in the season, and with our league campaign / top 4 challenge already looking dead in the water, it leaves the Europa league, which I don't think we are good enough to win.

FA Cup we aren't going to win. Too many better sides in it.

Especially if we get drawn away, couldn't beat Tilbury town at the moment

It's the first time in a couple of years that we've got past the early rounds. We're one away from the last 8.

I hope we take this seriously. I'll take a league defeat to Palace if it means we beat City and go through to the next round of the cup.

COYS
With Rodri and KDB out, we've got a chance. At least we know they aren't going to sit deep.

I'm actually at peace with the idea that we were saving ourselves for the cup. But I had to miss the game, which probably makes it easier to swallow!

Win this and we'll be favourites!

(It's like conkers, right?)

We need to go maximum strength tomorrow.

There is no point playing the reserve team and getting knocked out. There is no point playing if you're not playing to win.

And will the real Solanke please stand up tall......he's had a very indifferent start to his time here.
