Match Tottenham Hotspur vs. Manchester City, 20:15 GMT, Wednesday 30th October. League Cup Round of 16

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Whilst usually positive I am very lacklustre about tonight. Whilst the league cup is seen as the easiest trophy to win, if you consider the teams still left in it, we would not survive an away draw in the next round should we beat Man City tonight:

Chelsea
Liverpool
Woolwich
Man City
Aston Villa
Brighton
Man U (under new manager)
Newcastle
Palace

I think our entire season hinges on the Europa League.

Makes no difference who plays tonight for us or pretty much who plays for City.

Mentality and mistakes will determine the outcome.

And the fact we never sweep teams. No.idea why but it's nearly impossible for our players to all have a good game at the same time.

Alcohol hangover today, come on Spurs do not give me a football hangover tomorrow

I think this is a good shout, but no Werner. If Son isn't fit, start Johnson on the right and Odobert on the left. But I fully support dropping a few after the pathetic effort v Palace. Johnson has had a good season overall so, a bit like Kulusevski, I can forgive his poor game v Palace. The likes of Romero and Udogie have had several shit games and deserve to be dropped.

*Edit if Odobert is out and Son isn't fit, then fair enough, start Werner and bring Mikey off the bench.
Apparently Wilson and Son are out.The one I would definitely be giving starts to is Gray.

Used to be that the big teams didn’t take this seriously. Problem is now that the small teams don’t take it seriously.
