To be fair, their goal was a replica of a few this season.
Ball watching has cost us a shit load of goals this season. Johnson again tonight not even looking over his shoulder.
Great win, but could have been so much easier.

Ben played well in his role- won a couple key challenges, hit the deck hard a few times, passed very crisply! Hes much better a CB than people give him credit for, and especially as a backup lefty- we are VERY fortunate to have him, and especially so not being a dramatic whiner, and an actual team player and mature human being. I was very glad to see still has it today. Consummate professional, no doubt.
He didn’t want to sub too early and potentially win a game that they didn’t deserve to?Great result but why didn’t Pep bring on Haaland?
We probably know the answer
Apart from the second half against Brighton our defence has been really good.Udogie isn't that good offensively either. I wouldn't start him most weeks to be honest, just don't like his attitude. Very much the same with Brennan...yeah he scored a few goals but very much feels like a purple patch and he's still lazy af.
Issue is, it's not like we got many other options. Unless you do things like try Werner at LB...he does put in a shift off the ball. Maybe Porro at RW ain't a bad shout either...he can't defend but he does have a decent cross and can score the odd goal.
Not buying proper LB and RW cover coming back to bite us in the ass. Who'd have thought?

Two questions
1. Why do we always play City so tough, and yet lose to the like of Palace?
2. When will we (Ange) realize we suck balls at passing out of the back?

Haha, I was just about to blow my own trumpet - P3 W2 D1 L0On another note if anyone apart fromBill Madrid tries to create a match thread for the quarter final I will hunt you down and feed you to the pigs.
That match needs his good juju.
Show the man some respect!
Watched Johnson closely and he really just jogs about. Offers nothing in closing down abd doesn’t really help out in defence. When he has the ball he more often than not loses it or makes a shite pass. He may have scored some tapins but is generally woeful. When you watch him live this all too clear. I don’t like turbo but he does actually offer a threat running at players but crossing is pants. Ange said we needed to upgrade our attack from last season but we haven’t.
The team they put out was still very much Guardiola Ball. I did not see any compromises in their style of play at all. As far as I'm concerned, we beat Pep Guardiola's Man City. Full stop.Maybe it wasn't their best XI but the XI they put out was better than at least the bottom half of the prem, and prob better than the top 12-14 teams either. It was not an easy win whatsoever.
Idiots thats who.We were nearly getting weaker as the game went on player wise. Plus gray and moore are not exactly veterans. That'll definitely be the narrative, which unfortunately a lot of our fans will swallow up too.
It wasn't exactly our strongest XI either, we brought Ben Davies on ffs. Should be happy with that win, just can't understand anybody who isn't.
That city team beats 85% of prem teamsMaybe it wasn't their best XI but the XI they put out was better than at least the bottom half of the prem, and prob better than the top 12-14 teams either. It was not an easy win whatsoever.
