I never pretend everything is great if I see signs there are issues. I'm the bloke who after a few weeks of getting excited being top under Jose (why wouldn't I. Isupport Spurs and love us winning) went to a game and came back certain we had unsustainable problems. So find the odd urge for people to insist anyone being negative or having doubts about the team it's personnel or setup is some how a 'bad fan' or having any impact at all, really, really childish.

But....I'm going to tell the truth, whilst I am an agnostic on Angeball...I'm not on Ange Postecoglou. I've met him, and I really like him. Everyone of the adults and kids I was with left his presence enriched by it. I'm cant tell you all how desperate for him to win something for us I am, because he is a special person. I don't do gushing so I'm going to stop, but if I'm ever hard on him remember it's coming from a place of complete belife in the bloke himself.

The world isn't just, and you don't always get what you want, but this man does deserve to be THE ONE.

It is obvious that this is what drives him as he’s mentioned it a few times. If we want him to do it then he should get his support where it is deserved. He has it in the stadium fortunately. Just imagine being the guy who finally does it for us. That has to be a huge motivator to be a legend here.

“I love the fact that I was coming to a massive club with great history, great traditions and a great fan base, but very little recent success,” Postecoglou said. “Because you know that if you can turn it around and bring the club what it wants, I don’t see that as a difficulty, I see that as the beautiful part of the role.”

Just popped in to give you a break from all the seering white hot analysis. Excited to report the long awaited return of an Ange dream.

He was managing our Air B&B at an unknown foreign destination. Excellent host, went the extra mile fixing a curtain so I could catch up on some work without the sun glaring on my laptop screen. Also made a mean pizza, which I ate on the floor as I didn't want to risk spilling food on his chinzy sofa.

You're welcome.

I did an online course in dream therapy during COVID
Dreams never mean exactly what you dream do they?? He wasn’t yourAir BnB host.

So essentially you had a dream where Ange is pretty much your man slave.

What was he wearing while all this was happening???

Budgie smugglers and a tight t shirt???

looks for negatives even when its good? what 1 point ahead of 10th and losing to crystal fucking palace just over a week ago to give them their first win in 10 is considered good to you? are you simple or something? thats far from fucking good! lets see how we get on in the next 7 games as there are some actual noteworthy tests there. lets see where we are after the chelsea game and we will see if we have genuinely turned a corner.
We could win the next 7 and you’ll still find something to moan about. Go support Everton.

The city team we beat the other night was better than all of them teams you mentioned except that Chelsea team in the final.

Il be honest I don't give a crap if we beat a team who puts out x y and z.

Noone cares in 2,3 5, 10 years time.

Do you think Liverpool fans give a shit that they beat Pochettinos worst Tottenham team with a midfield of Winks and Sissoko an unfit Kane?
Err, that was the Champions League final.
It's not like they had to beat Coventry and teams resting their best players to get there.

"You get arrogant when you win"

Lose and remain humble is the flip side of that coun isn't it? Something you would prefer I assume because it suits your whinging and moaning tendencies to a tee!
It's the exact same problem England have had for decades.
Walk through qualifying groups, everyone gets carried away, as soon as we play a good team at a tournament - out with a whimper.

Looking at the table one thing that is obvious is that Spurs have significantly better goal difference than the clubs around them.

And that can often be a sign of positive things. Like the club has some sort of a potential or wherewithal to do better but just it didn't quite turn out due to specific errors, lack of luck, or some poor players in specific, key positions. Things that could perhaps be corrected or can be expected to turn (in case of luck).

That at least is a positive way to think about. But this is still early going in the season and those goal difference numbers involve not a lot of data so that they can change quite a bit and quite quickly.

But, I mean, it is quite something that Spurs are almost doubling Woolwich when it comes to goal difference. And many attacking players are hitting their stride. Son is back. Johnson has been scoring. Werner has scored a big goal in a big game. Maddison has scored a great free kick. And, of course, Solanke has just scored a double.

I'd love to know how old some of the posters are. Some of the negative stuff I've seen sounds like it is coming from 12 year old keyboard warriors.

Ange is a top coach. However, not every coaching journey is smooth. There will be bumps along the way. He has proven that his teams can win trophies and can win playing this style. Let the man do his work and support him.

To be honest it was the only example I could give regarding a line up because it's etch in my head that we wasn't good enough.

I can't remember their line up because I didn't care about them but I remember that they won it.

they won the carabao cup last season can you remember who they beat and what the line ups were on the way to them doing so...no...because no one cares. But you know that they won it.

It's actually a bonkers way of dismissing success when it is extremely competitive and only a handful of clubs are successful in winning trophies consistently.

I can't actually be bothered to delve too deep but is our GD a result of who we have played?
4 against Everton and West Ham with 1 conceded makes up +7 of our +11 GD.
0 vs Leicester
-1 Vs Woolwich
-1 Vs Newcastle
-1 Vs Brighton
-1 Vs Palace
That's all very 'meh' over a period of 50% of the games we played. Then the other 50% was a +4 Vs Everton, +3 Vs United, Spam and Villa, + 2 Vs Brentford.

It's the league cup. I'd have to google who won it tbh, let alone who lost and what the teams were.

I think you'll probably find it's the opposite. Much of the negativity comes from decades of being let down by the club we put so much time and money into supporting.

Ive lost count of how many semi finals I’ve seen us lose now.

Pretty sure I must have PTSD.

Not even just semi finals. Who was that crap team we lost to at Wembley?? Fuck me that was a horrible day out.
Going to play at Wembley regularly exorcised some demons. Apart from 1991 anytime I watched us play at Wembley we lost!!

Not at all:

OpponentAverage Goals per MatchAverage Goals AgainstAverage GD per match
Leicester1.41.8-0.4
Everton1.01.7-0.7
Newcastle1.01.00.0
Woolwich1.71.1+0.6
Brentford1.92.0-0.1
Man U0.91.2-0.3
Brighton1.71.4+0.3
West Ham1.31.9-0.6
Crystal Palace0.81.3-0.5
Aston Villa1.71.5+0.2
Total13.414.9-1.5

Our 10 opponents so far have scored an average of 1.34 goals per game, and conceded 1.49 per game. Average performance against those opponents would have us on 14.9 goals scored and 13.4 conceded, for a goal difference of +1.5. We've scored 22 and conceded 11 for a GD of +11.
