So, genuinely, why keep watching?

If you can't see us going anywhere under Ange then why watch?

And don't give me the 'You can't just stop watching the club you love' cos the club you say you love makes you miserable.

Seriously. If you find absolutely no joy from match to match, you need to find something else.

You’ve clearly never studied the human psyche. People are weird fuckers.

I’ve met people who have gone to the same place of work for decades and they hate it.
People in relationships that are awful but they need to live off the drama and so they stay.
People who knew betting was bad but gambled their whole life away. Job, house, wife and all.
People who pay for expensive gym memberships and never go. Yeah maybe that’s different. Still fucking weird though!

Who knows why people do all these things?

Football is like a religion/addiction for a lot of people in so many ways. People are just in for life. Good or bad feelings it brings.

So you're saying some of the miserable fuckers on here need an intervention?

I don't really care what posters on here think tbh. I posted well before on here that Romero has had his head turned and a major club came in for him in the jan window (or at least stated they were interested) and was met with the same responses.

6 months or so later it's news that Madrid came in for him. When it's news that Maddison has had a falling out with Ange the same people will then claim "attention seeker" blah blah even though I've stated it the 10 plus years I've been on here that ive never been itk and I despise them...and I'm still not ITK but I do get some info now (within last year) because of my job.

I love Spurs and I'm blessed to now work for them so whilst certain loser twats try starting Internet cyber beefs I'll just do me. Thought it would be cool to post stuff I hear on here to a community of Spurs fans but nah it not really tbh.

Cheers HercluTrix 👍

Just joking - wouldn't be surprised if your info is spot on.

I support the club not the manager or the owner. Even though I don't think we're going in the right direction as a club I'm not going anywhere no matter how much I personally hate the direction the club has been taken to. I still want to see us win no matter what. I want to see us progress like we did under poch and jol and Harry. It's always one step forward 2 steps back now. It's not just a year we're talking about here our last really enjoyable season was probably 17/18. Yes 18/19 was good for champions league but again our form from that January onwards was average at best. We're talking 6 going on 7 seasons of underachievement and stagnation from that.

You really can't see any progression between last season and this season?

Seen it heard it all before. Prefer to take a realistic view on what I've seen under ange rather than a delusional head in the sand one. From last season to now they've shown they take nothing from games and make the same mistakes over and over again. It'll happen again and again and again. And you'll be saying the same thing to posters like me next season probably like you did last season and the season before that and the one before that.

If you want to believe we're going to grow from this fair enough. I think you're as big a mug for that as you do of me taking what I take from tonight's game.

I mean I hear you but it's a bit weird you've chosen tonight and this reault to the Ange out mast, I mean you can look at the result and performance in isolation or you could probably look at the context of the loss...but anyway I won't change your mind so yeah cool.

We've already got 4 league defeats. All of those have been really really poor performances. I can remember 1 fantastic full 90 minute display vs man united. Some very very good halves of football (west ham,Villa) but overall all the consistency of performance week in week out to now isn't there for me. Abject vs palace overall good vs West ham. Good vs villa fucking horrible vs galatasaray tonight.

That level that we're aspiring to get back to under peak poch is only going to be attainable when you start winning and playing well on a consistent basis not just against the poor sides but also against the good ones too. Off days are inevitable I accept that but I just got the feeling that we'll go away to city to Liverpool to European sides like tonight an we'll come up short. That's what I've seen under ange last season and it's the same thing again so far this one for me.

I think there are things to work with that can progress the club but ultimately under ange I don't think it's going to happen. I hope to be wrong and I want to see us go away tonight and put out a big statement performance to say we're here (particularly away ftom home) that would be a big morale boost for the players but I don't think it's coming.

I get that some fans are against the manager and some certain individuals on this forum can't abide any mention of something Spurs did well without quickly pointing out how it was in fact shit and our rivals are better than us... but seriously, after tonight? We all knew we'd lose this game when the fixtures were drawn. Anyone who's genuinely been supporting this club for decades knew tonight was a give away and doesn't particularly give a fuck about this result, I'm sure of it.

It's definitely coming.

We're doing ok. The crap parts have been a shame but we've bounced back after each one.

We're looking good in all competitions - even if it's a shame about some of the league results.

Tonight wasn't the best but then we were always going to rotate. Unfortunately some of those we brought in didn't take their chance to impress.

It's not the end of the world though.

you know what makes me laugh with this whole ange shit. the idiot doesnt adapt no matter who he plays, which apparently is all about this culture and philosophy installment bollox. we are never getting 25 players that can play this suicide system! even the first 11 struggle when they are up against competent sides. when you have to dip into the squad which all clubs have to do over the season...it gets tonked up like tonight! so how the fuck is this ever going to be successful? its pure insanity. a manger has to get the best from what he has, thats the whole point of being a manager.

ben davies and dragusin standing on the halfway line as the last men is never going to work at any decent level of football loool.

also what is angeball? i thought it was meant to be quick fast paced football that rips teams apart in the final 3rd? im watching the midfield and wingers hang onto it too long and the CB's try and play out like they are playing in barcelona 2010? hes been here well over a year now and other than the defenders pushing up suicidally high, the FB's getting in the way in the final third, and wingers that cant do winger stuff. im struggling to see whats meant to be special?

All four league defeats weren't poor performances. We played pretty well vs Newcastle and were unlucky not to score more. Woolwich game was a fairly tepid affair from both sides decided by a set piece, we weren't bad that day. I think we're in for a slightly better season than general mood indicates.
