Bentancur was one of our better players other than a couple of mistakes when he was knackered just before he went off. I know that's not saying much, but I really don't know why you'd pick on him over anyone else.

Well I haven't seen Spence play lately so I don't even know they felt confident for him to actually play. Fair point though, definitely.
I was there and he was absolutely awful beyond belief. He was giving the ball away in the first half as well and he allowed ipswich to cut through us at will due to his awful positional sense.
He had Sarr next to him as well whilst Bissouma is expected to do the same job by himself.
I know things are still a bit raw when managers are interviewed just after a loss so what they say can be a bit meh. But I hate crap like this:

I would prefer to know about the lack of nous by players of placing about 20 crosses straight into the hands of their keeper and thinking that, this isn’t really working but let’s keep doing it anyway. Maybe Ange could see if he can help the players in that area.

Agree- we're in serious danger of going 9-10 points behind the top quarter of the table in this next run of matches. We're in serious danger right now- Levy really seriously needs to try and understand that.
I don't really feel confident Levy understands how close to being totally fucked this season is.

That's the lesson of moneyball - if you do not have the finances to compete in the system with your richer competition, then you have to identify inefficiencies in the system being ignored by your richer competition.
But Ange looks a false prophet, and this doesn't look like it works (which many of us suspected). Too many risks taken at the back, you'll never score enough at this level to make up how many times the lack of discipline at the back fucks you over.
Infuriating thing is how those cunts at Liverpool always seem to get it right in identifying the correct next "thing". They come up smelling like roses every time while ENIC keep getting beat with the "cheap" stick when it's not even the right stick to beat them with...FSG has proven you can be tight as fuck and still win.

Well that's not what I saw at all. To provide a quick objective analysis, I just looked at the player ratings on BBC - they have Bentancur as our best player today. Not saying that those ratings are the final say by any means, but certainly it does suggest that I'm not alone in my thinking. Reading back through the thread, there are others who also thought he was ok, certainly better than most of our clowns today anyway.
EDIT: Let me guess - you're one of the Bissouma fans who therefore slag off Bentancur every time he plays, yes? The reality is that both Bents and Biss have the potential to be awesome players for us, but are both so inconsistent that they never achieve that. I hope that either one of them - or perhaps both - do so, but there's not much between them right now, and anyone who says otherwise is just biased.

Yeh I watched it and it was the same sort of performance he put in for the last 2/3 months of last season in which Ange couldn't care less and kept starting him regardless.
Ange didn't care about his ghost performances at the tail end of last season which cost us a CL spot yet now he fucking cares...all because they've had a spat.

But I agree I don't see any sack coming, not so long as the EL still looks somewhat feasible.
We're all fucking tired mate, but it doesn't change that fact that we've lost because we've failed to score more than the opposition. And we look fucking woeful and incapable of scoring for the first hour of most games.
It's not wrong to say our attack sucks, we literally play the most high-line, offensive football in the league and yet still can't score enough to win!
