Does anyone know how the fuck this Nations League works?

Does it go:

League 1 group A
League 1 group B
L1 G C
L1 G D
L2 G A
L2 G B
…..Etc

Ie if you are relegated from L1 G1 do you go down to L1 G2 ?

If you are promoted from L2 GB do you go up to L2 GA?
You go up and down leagues and then there's a draw for which group you go in with the seeding based on where you finished in the previous nations league. So relegated from L1 G1 would put you in one of the L2 groups.

From a L1 (A) group:
Top 2 go to QFs
3rd goes to a play-off match vs a L2 runner up (winner goes in L1, loser goes in L2)
4th is relegated to L2

From a L2 (B) group:
Top is promoted to L1
2nd goes to a play-off match vs a L1 3rd (winner goes in L1, loser goes in L2)
3rd goes to a play-off match vs L3 runner up (winner goes in L2, loser goes in L3)
4th is relegated to L3

They call the Leagues A,B,C,D but i used L1, L2, L3 and L4 so it's a bit clearer.

...this is quite the kick in the ghoulies from Ronay.

Deuterz Deuterz and Tyyy Tyyy in shambles!
It is but this is starting to look like when Rooney was on the downslope . No one would ever say it and we accommodated him in midfield just to get him in the team. I would like to think that the back injury is still there and he is just trying to get by until it gets sorted. There was a ball played down the left channel yesterday for Kane. In the space of 3 strides Collins, a big lump of a centre half, just went straight past Harry.
We haven’t really got an outstanding centre forward to take his place. Watkins has had one really good season , we need to see more. Always thought Toney would be the ideal cover but he seems to have been left out as he is in Saudi. Will always score goals in Germany, nowhere near the prem lge in quality . Has been poor in champ lge apart from a hat trick in the 9-2 win over Dinamo.
I hope Harry can get back into some sort of form but it isn’t looking great for him.

Utter shite really, Wouldn't matter who was up front in the first half yesterday, our problems came from moving the ball too slowly. You see it in football all the time. A shite team comes and puts 11 men behind the ball, and if you don't get an early goal which makes them change their game plan and dent what confidence they have, things can quickly become a grind. Teams can never keep it up for 90 minutes though, as bodies and minds get tired. So England were always going to score goals in the second half. Had Ireland kept 11 on the pitch it probably would have been 2 or 3 instead of 5, and it could and should have been 6 or 7.

It was Kane's moment of pure quality that got the ball rolling. If you're playing him up front on his own then you need your wide players (and at least one midfielder) to constantly bomb forward and try to get in behind defences. Gordon and Madueke do that far more than Foden and Saka, who are the usual starters. Both of those like to come inside all the time. Bellingham over these two games is clearly also a lot fitter than he ever was at the Euros where he looked absolutely knackered.

Thanks

So in the leagues (ABCD) there's actually no hierarchy between the Groups (1234)

So if you finish top of League B, Grp 3, you don't get promoted to League B Group 2, you get promoted to League A and then can be drawn into any one of 4 Groups (1,2,3,4) and presumably the highest four seeds are separated into 1,2,3,4 and so on?

Overall I agree, but Watkins has been outstanding for several seasons... Where ever he's played, he's started as an option and used wide.. he's proved himself from lge 2 where he was voted football league young player of the year to Brentford and then to villa.. EVERYTIME the underdog an ALWAYS delivering...he's both footed, still got his pace and is strong enuf to hold the line... As for our Dom...your arguement about one good season seems more applicable... I'de LOVE to see a spurs no 9 lead the England line.. but ATM think he's behind in the pecking order ... The feller that always caught my eye and at one time thought he was gonna boot Hari to touch was Everton's Dom calv lewin' when he was fit at times he looked unplayable.. but footie isnt a fair sport as kane is now finding out... All those times he came back from injury 2 early for the good of the team have cost him his pace and ultimately will end his england career.

Don't know why we never see Kane and Watkins together. On paper they are perfect as they have completely different strengths and each would benefit from the others.

With Tuchel's first squad on the horizon, surely Spence has to be in the reckoning? He has looked really good in an under-performing side. Think him and Lewis-Skelly would be excellent options for those full-back roles. Out with the old (Shaw, Chilwell, Trippier, Walker) and in with the new. (Spence, Hall, Livramento, Lewis-Skelly)

That’s the team. Very suspect in central defensive areas but you have the best counter attacking team in the world.

I know he is only a kid in CB terms but branthwaite is just a sensational defender, strong, quick, lovely on the ball. I can’t see how the current CB’s keep him out for much longer.

Stones hasn’t had a good season so maybe Branthwaite and Guehi.

The problem England will have is how to compensate for having such a poor core. GK, central defence and 6 are all average.

Seems like you have a counterattacking team. How will that work against packed defences or if you fall behind?

Not sure about Mainoo. He's a talent but still has a lot to learn, and only plays so much because United are so shit. He needs to be much better off the ball otherwise he won't be a Tuchel sort of player.

Would swap Palmer and Bellingham around too. Branthwaite for Guehi.
