Management Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Did things get better after Santini went?
Did things get better after Ramos went?
Did things get better after AVB went?
Did things get better after Nono went?

Stop kidding yourself that Ange isn't literally fucking dragging us down.
It's fucking absurd to suggest otherwise..

We're tenth and we're only going one one direction
Ok new manager, goes well for few months, get European conference league spot, another trophy less season, next season same as this season Dec 2025, 10th in the table. Does this make you happy?

There's nothing to say this happens any more than a new man comes in, gets a Europa league spot and wins something next season. Just because you fear what may come doesn't mean you should accept what is. Look at Chavs, every man and their dog thought they would suffer for binning poch and bringing in Maresca, especially with the discourse around their massive squad size, now look at them, arguably more in the title race than Stoke 2.0.

You did tell people to get in the water a great white shark though.
So not too dissimilar.
As an aside, just read the original Peter Benchley novel. It’s actually quite good. The shark stuff is almost the subplot. The main theme is a class based dissection of American society. The rich (Hooper and Brody’s wife) versus the working class (Brody and the local journalist).

Second aside. You know what boils my piss? When some poor bastard gets munched by a shark and then a Greenpeace hippy dickhead pipes up with ‘but you entered the shark’s domain’. Just fuck off! As if going for a genial splash in the surf warrants getting your legs bitten off by some prehistoric dickhead.

Honestly.

Please don't compare us with chelsea, their owner wants to win trophies while our owner are busy with spreadsheets.

I am not accepting current situation but sacking managers is not working. We should find different solution, may be stop signing youngsters, stop wasting money ain't working. Stop signing mediocre players like Richy and Solanke, spend a bit more pay more in wages and get decent players. Sign experienced players.... What levy is doing is not working whoever is the next manager, ask Conte, he was right.

Our (team) metrics are exceptional.

We are absolutely underperforming (somehow???).

I would suggest spending some time on corner kick tactics (attacking AND defending)... it seems absolutely ridiculous to be flippant about a set piece scenario that has been a weakness for us (particularly defending).

I'm a bit "old school", but I can never understand why you wouldn't have the fullbacks on each post for defensive corner kick set-ups.

Ange once did a big poo in a brown paper bag, lit the paper bag, rang my doorbell and ran away.

I stomped on the bag thinking it was a fire hazard. It was, in fact, a poo hazard. I got poo everywhere.

What a cunt

One of the issue is that the in the current player market, the top echelon are getting obsene money, which clubs like Tottenam won't pay.

That market also drags up the price for bang average players.

We end up with Richarlsons getting 60 mill, when he's no better than Chris Wood whose worth a tenth of that. That then ups the fan expectations: "Look at our spend, compared to Forest, we should be doing better".

Unless you're willing to pay for the big boys to play with the big boys, you'll finish anywhere between 6th and 12th, because mediocrity is mediocre no matter which club they play for. and what you paid for them.

First, thanks for the post.

What I see is that we have no problem tearing teams apart after taking a lead. In particular, we have pacy wingers who struggle mightily against teams sitting back but excel at breaks. Pretty much all of our wins this season had totally one-sided scorelines, while most of our losses were by a goal or two. Hence the 4th best GD despite being 10th. I assume it's the same story for other stats you posted: They're mostly accumulated during the periods that we lead. That doesn't tell much about how well we're doing when we're not leading. As an example, against the likes of Palace and Bournemouth (yesterday) we barely posed any threat to the opponent while losing.

That's only a guess obviously but seems sensible.

No fucking chance Ange wanted to spend £70M on three spotty sixth formers ffs.

He should have resigned when the window shut, this serves him right for towing the party line
Lol. Ange is Charlie in the Chocolate Factory right now. No way could he have ever hoped to manage a club like Spurs - he's got no leverage to demand anything.

That doesn't absolve Levy, either. He hired a completely out-of-his-depth manager whose only meaningful experience came from fledgling leagues on the other side of the planet.

Disaster from all. We can't sack Levy, but we can sack Ange. His replacement might not be better, but they'll have a hard time being worse.

Tried explaining this to some of our new Aussie friends. The idea Ange would ever walk is hilarious. This is a level financially and competitively that he has never, ever even got close to touching. It's an insanely meteoric rise for him considering his age and where he has spent most of his career coaching.

The guy was a punt. On the back of his work at Spurs so far (especially finishing 5th, and generally being entertaining) he might land at say a Palace etc, but he's not getting any better than that. Working at a top 6 PL club is literally a career dream come true for him, he's never stepping down, he's never rowing publicly with the board.

Are people more angry about supporters calling Ange a cunt or calling him fat?

If we were to call him a ripped and veiny in shape cunt would that make a difference?

Or is the cunt part the issue?

I mean…he behaves like a cunt in the same way Jose did, only difference is Jose was a cunt with the history to back up his out of control ego.

The likes of Lopetegui, Glasner and Moyes all have objectively much better resumes than Ange yet they've been managing bottom half teams. Meanwhile, looking at Ange's resume, even Celtic (let alone Tottenham) sticks out like a sore thumb. The fact that he got this job is close to a miracle. I'm certain that under this facade of an arrogant and overly confident man there lies someone who's aware of this.

Levy didn't even cut Pochettino much slack, what makes you think Ange has any leverage over him? He's extremely fortunate to still be here. Unless he somehow wins a cup he won't be here next summer.

If Levy is so tight, why doesn't he hold some cunt at the club personally responsible for every single million wasted on absolutely shit, waste of space , what the fuck is that signings, of which we seem to have a monopoly of.

I do generally think verbally abusing someone who is managing us is a step too far. Screaming it at someone and lashing out a bit on here are very different things. Ange is right as well, he is human and being called a fat cunt by the clubs own fans probably did effect him in some way. It's an uncomfortable thing to watch happen to another person.

On the flip side, these guys are paying to go out to Bournemouth and watch that shit so I get the frustration. I just don't think it was vented in the right way personally.

On a sidenote, again whilst I'm not particularly keen on him, I don't think Ange is anywhere near as much of a cunt as Jose.
