You're all arguing over the symptom (the atmosphere) but not the cause (we're currently shite).

The stadiums too big?
There are too many fans?
There are too many day trippers?

Would any of you give single shit if we were top of the league?

Did United fans whinge Old Trafford was too big and full of day trippers in the late 90s? Did they fuck.

Do Real Madrid fans whinge the Bernabeu is too big and full of probably more tourists than us?

It's all in the on field underachievement. In focussing on the stadium you're letting COYS Daniel off in a weird way.

The atmosphere in the new stadium can be overwhelmingly earth-shattering - up with the best in the world, but then the fans - the real leaders who create the atmosphere - start to respond to what's happening on the pitch and it all goes tense, nervous & quiet, at best. Then it's followed by low groaning and muttered sweariness.

If head shaking made a noise we'd be right up there with the loudest.

Dortmund manage it and we were told the design of that stand was meant to mimic the Dortmund stadium.

They don’t price out hardcore fans, they make arrangements so the hardcore fans can always get tickets next to each other in the singing section as well. Basically Dortmund have an amazing football stadium, we have an amazing stadium.
I think we need better entrance music intimidating one no offence but the drum entrance we got now ain't really good. And the reason dortmund is intimidating is because of the yellow wall we need something similar a section of fans non stop chanting and singing.

Well 24k of them actually get to be there as opposed to not............. 🙄

I've been in old WHL amidst a stale atmos plenty of time; it's about a lot more than bricks and mortar.
I’ve been to some pretty tepid games at WHL but the Park Lane was still bouncing,

We don’t have a Park Lane anymore. At least not when I’ve been to the new stadium.

Also, being an underdog in WHL was more understandable. The problem is that they’ve made a very shit effort at improving the squad to a level that matches the improvements in the architecture.

The stadium was rocking every week when Conte first showed up. Imagine they’d got him a world class CB and RWB that summer instead of Spence and Lenglet on loan. If they’d given him a squad to compete and we’d been in the mix, that stadium would’ve been deafening every week. Instead it went toxic.

Ange’s start to his first season was rocking as well. Then we lost both CBs and not replaced Kane so the form paid the price and so did our season.

That stadium has no soul. Not because it couldn’t have one but because our owners ambitions don’t match the soul of a 60 thousand seater.

So your gripes aren't with the stadium at all then......... You're just shoehorning your dis-satifaction with the football into the topic of the stadium itself.

Perhaps one thing that is better in the new stadium....

Yeah we need exactly that, a new Park Lane.

But to get that, the club needs to facilitate it and I suspect they’ll make excuses because noisy sections are non-corporate and non PC. And probably even more importantly, guaranteed seats probably = 1% less profit from tickets

Mine are partly the stadium itself, though they are things that health and safety has done ... no proper standing ... insufficiently steep rake of stands, no flares allowed ... etc etc.

But yes, main thing by far is the poor performances on pitch.

No flairs isn't a Spurs thing.... Nor anything new.
Proper standing hasn't been a thing here for 30+ years.

Neither have anything to do replacing the old gaff with the new.

The biggst problem with the stadium is that the team we have put out onto the pitch has been shite. We have been paying far more for tickets in the new stadium to see a team that has got worse since we made the move. A lot of us have become disgruntled with the team and the board.

Secondly, whilst the south stand is massive and has safe standing it has meant the away fans have been moved to the opposite side, near the family section. There is no longer the back and forth between the two sets of fans.

Lastly, the amount of day trippers has only increased so there are fewer proper fans in the ground.

Will always prefer old WHL but I will confirm heavy bias there. Seeing that pitch for the first time as a kid and the excitement of going to your first game overall is something I don't think can be matched.

My favourite football years were at old WHL, I've had the incredible privilege of playing a 90 min game there (not competitive), and it represents a time when football overall was just more of an enjoyable product to consume.

Modern WHL resembles an era of modern football I dislike and has left me behind. That said, it's a cracking stadium and having been to the first game and a fair few after I believe it will serve a new generation of fans well and it can bring those same fond memories of old WHL I had to future Spurs supporters. I admit a new ground was needed though and I don't think a better job could have been done with it.
