Manager Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Here’s the full context of what Ange said. Nothing like what some of you on here are claiming. It’s the first video. I actually think he’s answered very candidly and honestly. It’s a case of you’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t with some eh!

I have absolutely no problem with people who want Ange out. It is a perfectly reasonable and rational position. And I will listen to and respect all of those who make them as long as they are consistent and arguing in good faith.

What I won't cop is this sudden hand wringing over Timo Werner by the same people who have been calling him a cunt for 18 months. We have the fucking receipts, people.

Hypocrisy is a wretched characteristic. And it's not Ange Postecocglou who is showing hypocrisy right now.

You have better arguments that reflect better on you. Suggest you stick to them.

Kulusevski is winning us points. When we do win them that is..Easily our player of the season so far.

He isn't. He's scored three goals, three assists and literally fuck all else, lots of nothingness, giving the ball away more than anyone in our side.

Maddison and Son are both outscoring and out assisting (in less minutes on the pitch), and seeing much more ball, doing better things with it, and being more useful without it, facilitating more "success" than Kulusevski. And I don't even think Son and Maddison are spunkbread.

There is a difference between what a bunch of anonymous individuals write on a forum on the internet and what a manager say in a press conference. You do understand that, right?

So at the start of the season there was one thing I gave him extra respect - playing and trusting youth in EL games.

Even if we lost to Galatasaray, I was fine with it - you take a risk and sometime it goes south. That is OK. I was not critical of it, because literally - young lads have to learn somewhere.

But now it seems that his only chance at this level is so close to be ending and in total desperation he is trying to stay in spotlight for few more days. Even if it means absolutely baffling choices. Like playing Kulu, Solanke and Porro in very intense game against Roma after we played very intense one against City. And to what result?!? To get a draw (after we had won 10 previous EL homegames btw!).

Then inbetween he threw in TWO CBs at the same time (!) where both had to come out with an injury. After which he sugarcoated it that "Micky was never going to play full game and it was precaution" - well fuck that - he is out from the squad now too.

And today - it all just repeated. OK - I get it - Benta and Biss are both out from Soton game, so them playing is OK. But WHY NOT play Bissouma in CB, Gray on fullback and give either Udogie or Romero some rest?!? WHY IN THE WORLD keep using Son as lone striker when Lankshear was on the bench ffs. WHY??
To just about snatch a draw (read: still be centimeters away from losing, after tiring already tired senior players)?

All logic has flown out of the window and it is just pathetic desperate agony that will anyway end in sack within next month.
Please, let's not let him cripple half players and froze out other half, it's gonna leave longer impact on the team. He has very strong detrimental effect of our squad. Just wait and see the Soton game. Already helped Ipswich and Palace out, let's see if Southampton manager has the brain to pick apart our "tactics" too, or want to fight idealist vs idealist battle. If first option, we are very likely to lose the game, despite facing EPL last team.

Who has been hypocritical?

United game:
Werner is making the team worse than it should be. That's on Ange.
With a clown like Werner in the team it is difficult to score goals.

In response to the suggestion we could bring Werner on against Chelsea:

Werner? Like in Timo Werner?

Crocodile tears just aren't as effective as real ones.

But maybe you aren't one of the people who have only ever cunted Werner off now using the manager being angry with him as a stick to beat him with.

There are enough sticks to beat the manager with, without being a fuckign hypocrite. Is all I'm saying

Honestly, if we get Potter and give him 18 months, we will be better off. Trust me. He is a decent coach, just chose the wrong path. Wont be world beaters but a stronger team

No point in keeping Ange. This chapter is over. Physically killed the squad
I agree that we'll be better off under Potter than we are now. But I wouldn't be surprised if in 18 months people on this forum are calling for his head.
We have a very soft underbelly, the mentality of this club is all wrong, from the very top, all the way through to the fan base.
Unfortunately it'll take a lot more than a managerial change to fix that.

Another cultist on overtime, give it a rest mate, your hero got outcoached (yet again) by a nobody managing a team of nobodies and you're trying to tie people up in knots over whether they've ever been critical of Werner or not in order to desperately deflect, pathetic.

I have never been %100 on Postecoglou so these "cultist" jibes really dont' work, buddy. The only managers I've ever been 100% on were Poch and Conte.

I just don't like inconsistency and hypocrisy. Also you're just a nasty piece of shit so I don't particularly like you - whereas there's quite a few Ange outers on here I do like and respect very much.

Now, kindly, fuck off.

Let's also dispel this myth that Ange is over playing the team.

- Porro ranks 30th in minutes played this season. Udogie 33.
- VDV and Romero even less; and have sat out cup fixtures; only playing once per week in the league.

If professional football players can't play 1/3rd of a season, mostly playing one game per week - then there are some serious issues with our medical department.

Yep blame the fans…all our fault.

Nobody is expecting to compete for major honours but in the last 20 seasons we have finished outside the top half once (when we won the league cup in 2008). Our average league position over that 20 year period is between 5th and 6th.
In the last 12 months we’re 13th - this is not the THFC you’re claiming it is. He’s failing and we’re regressing to pre Jol days - it’s right in front of our eyes.

He gets the Xmas period and hopefully he can somehow fucking stabilise this current shit show.
I'm not blaming the fans, they're a contributing factor, but I said the whole system is broken.
Levy, while building an impressive self sustaining model, will never invest in the team heavily enough to compete with the big foreign investors.
The mentality of the team has always been questionable, it has been for years now, which is why we have the embarrassing 'Spursy' tag. Where is that mentality coming from?
Nothing changes, manager after manager, player after player. If it wasn't for Kane and Bale, we wouldn't have even seen the limited recent successes we've had.
Yet the fan base seem to think we have an inherent right to be up there with the big boys.
Our underbelly is so soft that even Guardiola wouldn't get a tune out of our squad with the injuries we have.
With the squad that we have and the mentality of the club (which partly due to the fans) being that we're better than we are, we'll just keep rotating through manager after manager.
We're no better than West Ham or Fulham if we're honest, they have more fight and a better mentality than us, and have done for a while. This isn't just on Ange, it's going to take a major overhaul to fix this. And while I would hate to be bought out by a foreign investor who sees us as his/her play thing, it's the only way we'll ever see real improvement now.

When did i say that he was wrong to criticise Werner?

Of course.

I'm talking about the hypocrisy of some posters on here. You do understand that right?

But maybe you aren't one of the people who have only ever cunted Werner off now using the manager being angry with him as a stick to beat him with.

I was calling out the hypocrites who were saying it wrong for the manager to cricticsie Werner when they had done far far worse.

If you DON'T think he was wrong then - as is stipulated all along - you are NOT one of the people I was talking about.

You quoted me when i asked who has been hypocritical so i assumed you tried to say that i was one of the hypocrites.

Are you only looking at league stats?

Most teams CBs will be playing 90 every game without injury. That’s not the same as porro or Udogie playing 90 at outside back. Udogie especially is asked to make a lot of forward runs.

You quoted me when i asked who has been hypocritical so i assumed you tried to say that i was one of the hypocrites.

Sorry - that was just me showing how easy it is to find receipts for those who were crying crocdile tears.

I think I did make it clear in my first post that it was hypocrisy I was objecting to. And if you aren't digging out the manager for calling out Werner (for not working hard enough) then fair enough you aren't being hypocritical at all.

And furthermore I take on board the views of CarrieFi CarrieFi much more on this subject as they aren't prone to hypocrisy or agendas and bad faith arguments.
