If you haven't thoroughly enjoyed that this silly old game might not be for you.I’m fucking delighted with that. How many senior players out? Nine? We should be losing with that many out, certainly against a decent side. And they are a decent side. Not great, but not shite.
Swinging for the fences throughout, scored 4. Committed comedic errors. Scored directly from a corner. Panic, fun, entertainment, joy. Through to the semis.
The fact that some on here are absolutely fucking raging we won makes it all the more delicious.
I gave mine up when we moved to Oz in 2004. That was hard.Yeah that’s why it’s better being at games and not watching it on tv posting on a forum during it. You don’t have the same emotions. It’s why I could never support a football team I don’t actually go and physically watch. Not sure what I’ll do when I give up my season ticket at the end of the window. Probably miss it terribly.
There’s no evidence that we can smash any team on our day. Of the current top 3 we have played 2 this season and lost 2. Anyone wanna stick their neck out now for Sundays game?
From last season we played 6 and won one and we were a better team last season in general.
We can smash most sides in the league on our day, but the top sides so far always have an antidote to Angeball.
It's taken me a couple of beers to get there. Now I've got my heartbeat back on an even keel ,I'm off to bed .
All you real Spurs fans will sleep well tonight
There's no team in this league we can't absolutely smash on our day.
A good way to separate the wheat from the chaff on here anyway. If you haven't thoroughly enjoyed that this silly old game might not be for you.
I like xG a lot in theory, but it's really difficult in practice.
As someone mentioned above, the more games you're aggregating, the more the subtleties come out in the wash.
I don't buy that we were out-created 3-4x today, no way. But we did ride our luck quite a bit.
They did well to be fair yes. Both good blocks on his shot. When I saw the cutbacks in real time though I was expecting both to find a corner, he hit both down the middle basically. Each time one defender stood their ground but if either are close to the corner it’s in.To be fair, our makeshift defence were outstanding, aside from the 5-minute aneurism.
We will win Sunday.
Can I put yours on it instead.
You know we won yeah?I still think there is a happy medium between this Aussie Ardiles ridiculousness and grinding out 1-0's that could happen with the right man at the helm...and even if we do somehow win this Cup, I don't believe Ange is that man.
We play the system/philosophy (I fucking despise that term in football) above the players' individual strengths under Ange IMO and I think we're a poorer side for it.
In recent times, the best for this was Redknapp by a mile for me...Angeball is draining my passion and my patience tbh.
I already have. You can ask
Did we aye?
"The Carabao Cup semi-final ties will take place over two legs across the week commencing January 6 and the week beginning February 3."
Some or most of the injured players listed should be fit for the semifinals, especially the 2nd leg.
