the front line is by far our weak point now. solanke i think is fine and we havent even seen the best of him yet. kulu can do a job on occasions but not sure hes good enough to be playing there week in week out, it will work in some games and others it wont, especially when you need pace to get up the pitch quicker.

We have to fix it irrespective of who is our manager.

This depends entirely on what you class as success.

Levy will never fully fund a proper push for the league title. But a smart manager can work with what he is given here and try to get some cup trophies over the line combined with finishing between 4th and 6th in the league. Which Levy definitely funds us well enough to do.
clever recruitment and a good manager is everything. man united are proof that its not about how much money you spend.

To fix this mess we need a poch mark 2 with a history of winning trophies or always challenging.

Poch mark 2 with a history of winning trophies probably doesn’t exist. There is Poch mark 1 and everyone else will be a bigger gamble. Most trophy winning managers don’t have to drastically improve their players via coaching, like Pep they will have the elite given to them.

This 18 months/we can't keep going round in circles stuff is overblown for me. That's basically what every other club does. That's football. Right or wrong.

If you're not doing it, you get a couple of years. If you come in and get something going you might last four or five like Poch or Redknapp. Beyond that you have outliers, or uber top tier guys like Klopp and Pep.

Ange has had it pretty good off the fans till now, mainly because 18 months ago there was a lot of "what I'd give for attacking football", sentiments to back a manager, and ire directed at Levy. So it's become a binary choice. Then there was that infamous 10 game spell, the good vibes, that fucking Robbie Williams song, and the cult established. It's all protected him for longer than most guys would have got.

He isn't hamstrung that much to be bottom half at Xmas. It doesn't matter if we have zero or fifteen players out injured, coz whatever team he has selected in the last year has been inconsistent in performance and results and he is no closer to being able to capture and sustain the good stuff. He's got to sort it out pronto, or he can have no complaints about getting the inevitable bullet.

Michael Richards Yes GIF

Marco Silva has turned down an approach from Saudi Pro League side Al Ahli and insisted he retains "total commitment" to Fulham. As Sky Sports reported earlier this week, the Portuguese was to be offered £40m for a two-year deal to become the club's new manager.

He's our man, obviously not motivated by money, plays attractive football and knows how to defend!

I had a slight wobble yesterday over Ange, but then slept on it and remembered he isn’t the true villain, just last in a long line of poor bastards left in the lurch by the cunts in charge

I’ll stand by Ange till the end, like I have with all managers bar Mourinho
I've also stood by every manager till the end, bar Nuno, but including Mourinho.
However, I just couldn't get on board with this one from the day he was appointed.

Was Ange and his high line to blame for destroying Micky's hamstrings before he came to spurs? He was out with a hamstring injury for 3 months the season before he came to spurs. Did Wolfsburg play a 'crazy' highline too?

I'm not a physio but could it be that him being 6ft 4 and the quickest player in the league makes him more susceptible to hamstring injuries?
If that's the case and knowing what his system required why spend 40 odd million on someone with dodgy hamstrings unless due diligence wasn't applied. So Ange either knew Micky had suspect hamstrings or he didn't do his homework.

i'm no levy apologist and think the club could and should spend more but at the end of the day it's the manager's job to enact the club's plan and if they won't do it they get the sack. ange's plan isn't compatible with the club's and we're seeing the results of that disconnect. he has to go sooner rather than later
So it still comes back to Levy. He appointed him, mate.

He has to have known. That's 100% something that shows up in a scouting report. But given how Ange speaks in regards to how he wants to play and how he doesn't compromise. He valued Micky's speed higher than any risk of hamstring injuries.

I can guarantee if we get potter or Iraola, we’ll have a bounce and then within 18 months everyone will be slagging their tactics off and wanting them gone, because there is no way any manager in our range can make us successful with the ENIC business model
But that wasn’t the case with Poch

We know we can’t win the league with those cunts in charge.

But we can do better than this
