Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I do not like losing, but we are in the middle of an injury and illness crisis FFS! We're missing 10 senior players through injury, illness and suspension. Some of those starting today were playing with illness. 3rd choice GK making his PL debut. 4th choice CB Dragusin (with Romero, VdV and Davies out injured) partnering an 18 year old CM (Gray) playing out of position in the heart of the defence. Spence making only his 4th league start, playing out of position at LB (with Udogie injured). 18 year old Bergvall making only his 2nd PL start alongside 22 year old Sarr in CM. Who could possible have expected any kind of result against an in-form Newcastle (5 wins on the bounce, 18 goals scored, 1 conceded)? Anyone who thinks otherwise needs a reality check.

Positives:
  • Austin showed he is a decent GK and easily could have been the EL GK allowing Spence into the EL squad. Austin actually look better than Vicario on crosses and corners.
  • Gray continues to impress playing out of position at just 18 years old.
  • Bergvall looked very good and will develop into a really decent CM.
  • The players clearly played for Ange - he is going nowhere!
Thank you. Saved me typing that myself.

I always feel bad after a defeat, but this is the least bad I’ve felt recently. I usually am an optimist, but I felt we’d get battered today, by the team with a top form front six. We did better than I thought we would.

Having a Zizzi's so missed most of it, but it looked like we were having a go in the last 15 mins. I was expecting to come back to a bit of a bloodbath tbh.

I can't believe people are questioning that performance! We played the entire second half with Spence and Gray at centre back and somehow kept a clean sheet!

I feared the worst today. Thought we'd lose by 3 or 4 but we matched them and deserved something out of the game!

We aren't too far from getting some players back! There is light coming at the end of this dark dark tunnel! The last month has been proper trenches but we'll come out of this a much better side

I definitely prefer getting the inevitable defeat out of the way in the early 12.30 Saturday kick off. You can relax a bit more then for the rest of the weekend as opposed to waiting around until 4.30 on the Sunday to face Chavs and Dippers as we’ve done in recent weeks. Maybe we should lobby for Friday night kick offs.

Solwanke had a good season at his last club but he certainly wasn’t worth what we payed for him. Another bad buy by Levy.

Hello, long time no see

Fifty percent of our PL games have now been losses.

That is not all down to injuries.

If Ange is waiting for the return to fitness of the missing players then he is going to be waiting a long time. Does anyone think that all of a sudden we will have an injury free squad for the second half of the season playing relentless box to box football?
Whether you are Ange in or Out no one can deny his management of the squad has been absolutely shocking , players like DJed not getting a look in , even Austin looks a better goalie than FF but we are only seeing him today due to illness.
It’s like Ange doesn’t actually take part in any training sessions and hasn’t got a clue who is in the squad.
I’m at the point now where I think a new manager is key , we have some great young players and a half decent manager with a few windows can make us good again.
Two more fantastic posts to be fair.

I’m just numb watching us just now. You know what’s coming against Liverpool. You know we’ll beat Tamworth and you know exactly what will happen against Woolwich. How can anyone be positive about this his just now. I’m am one of the most positive on here but I’m totally fucked off with it all.
What we will get is it was a spirited performance with a makeshift team but fuck that. It’s not good enough and if we don’t fix it now we will get closer to disaster. Still a bit away from that but if results go a certain way in this round of games we could be 7 points off 3rd bottom.
We have regressed so much compared to last season results wise and the last I checked this is a results business.
Do we wait till after Woolwich or does Ange go now??
I’m for it changing today and give someone a chance before the window shuts and try get a bounce because if we don’t this might actually get worse.

So contrary some corners our fanbase Toon didn’t run riot, they didn’t pump us we more than held our own under these extenuating circumstances and as usual a horrendous refereeing decision set their wheels in motion.
This winter of discontent can’t end too soon

Listen dumb fuck the amount he misses is embarrassing and he is not our best player, try Specsavers, wanker.

Anyone thinking Solanke is not very good for us knows very little about football. 11 goals and 3 assists at the halfway point of the season in a struggling team. And those numbers do not take into consideration his relentless pressing and team play.

Luckily United have Liverpool and West Ham have City so we should just about stay 12th if Brentford beat Southampton.

Hopefully Chelsea can do us a favour and beat Palace or they'll be breathing down our neck too.

Our level now. And fans are happy to clap like seals for it. Baffling stuff.
