I hate to admit this, but even Harry wouldn't have been able to score with Ange Ball. He'dve been injured.most of the time, as he always puts in 150% and 150% of a required 150% = injuries for sure. He would also not have received the services as Solanke hasn't either.
No way jose, he would have flourished with Ange ball.
Just imagine, he was PL top scorer under defensive plays of Mourinho and Conte. Solanke is missing half chances which Harry would have scored, we would have won today with HK or someone of his qualities. Solanke is average overpriced PL striker.

This. So much this. There are a good handful on here who are clearly gleeful at the result today, and that makes me feel so sick.

Perhaps it's the same in the crowd - more interested in hating every single thing about the club than giving the ref proper stick for giving the Geordies so many advantages throughout the first half. 😔
I give the team and Ange plenty of pelters when we deserve them. But there comes a time you have to question whether certain people are fans.

The players have given absolutely everything there in that second half.

I was expecting a tonking today with the players we have available but we've made one of the form sides look bang average, having to waste time like that against the team we had on the pitch is embarrassing.
I can't criticize the players or manager for that effort, to do so would be grossly unfair.

We were easily worth a point I thought we were the better side and the officials were a disgrace first half.

Keep him much longer and we could really be relying on the bottom 3 continuing to be shit. Where are the wins coming from? We've lost 5 at home by the 4th January, we're terrible away, we dont beat sides in decent form. Worst mess we've been in since that Hoddle/Pleat season 21 years ago.

Just wish especially with Porro whipping them in that in the late stages of the game when the box is packed we gave Lankshear the chance to make the opposition have more to think than a tiring Solanke

So contrary some corners our fanbase Toon didn’t run riot, they didn’t pump us we more than held our own under these extenuating circumstances and as usual a horrendous refereeing decision set their wheels in motion.
This winter of discontent can’t end too soon
But we lost to palace and Ipswich at pretty much full strength , of course the injured haven’t helped but if anything it’s proved Ange hasn’t got a clue about players or DJed would have played before now.

I can't believe people are questioning that performance! We played the entire second half with Spence and Gray at centre back and somehow kept a clean sheet!

I feared the worst today. Thought we'd lose by 3 or 4 but we matched them and deserved something out of the game!

We aren't too far from getting some players back! There is light coming at the end of this dark dark tunnel! The last month has been proper trenches but we'll come out of this a much better side
Spurs head of PR has spoken

If you legitimately think any Ange Out supporters ever want us to lose youre sorely mistaken; its being sick of watching us lose to shit that make us want him gone.
I'm not talking about the main Ange Out crowd, which is quite big now (totally understandably). As I said, I'm talking about the handful (i.e. few) who mock and joke and clearly enjoy the club losing much more than they enjoy it winning. It's a tiny, but very irritating, minority that I expect most of us wish would fuck off and do something else - they are clearly NOT Spurs fans.

I do not like losing, but we are in the middle of an injury and illness crisis FFS! We're missing 10 senior players through injury, illness and suspension. Some of those starting today were playing with illness. 3rd choice GK making his PL debut. 4th choice CB Dragusin (with Romero, VdV and Davies out injured) partnering an 18 year old CM (Gray) playing out of position in the heart of the defence. Spence making only his 4th league start, playing out of position at LB (with Udogie injured). 18 year old Bergvall making only his 2nd PL start alongside 22 year old Sarr in CM. Who could possible have expected any kind of result against an in-form Newcastle (5 wins on the bounce, 18 goals scored, 1 conceded)? Anyone who thinks otherwise needs a reality check.

Positives:
  • Austin showed he is a decent GK and easily could have been the EL GK allowing Spence into the EL squad. Austin actually look better than Vicario on crosses and corners.
  • Gray continues to impress playing out of position at just 18 years old.
  • Bergvall looked very good and will develop into a really decent CM.
  • The players clearly played for Ange - he is going nowhere!

This is embarassing. We have lost plenty of games with our best players fit. Now you have introduced illness into the equation. Yes we had some ill today, but what is th excuse for the rest of the season? We have lost 10 games this season ffs.

Austin it was one game ffs. There is a reason he's only just made his debut after about 10 years at Spurs and he's in his mid 20s. We won't ever see him play for us again you do realise that right? Some of you are a joke, you see a player play well once and you think wow, we have a player there.

Spence played ok at CB, os he now a top CB? Is Reggie now a good LB because he played ok today? The answer by the way is no.

Ange is going somewhere, he's taking us down the table. But it seems people liek you are ok with that, as long as we get behind Ange. It's pathetic. The standards of this fanbase are in the bin. We are losing every week at home to our rivals and even bottom teams, and we have people like you going "Ange is the man, it's all because of injuries"

Ange needs to get sacked asap. The reason we are losing games is because of the way he sets the team up, not because of injuires.

It is naive football which has other streetsmart PL managers laughing as they come here and take 3 points.

I'm in the Ange to be replaced sooner rather than later camp, but don't have too many complaints today as I have done the last number of weeks. Despite a makeshift side we more than deserved a point out of the game and never lacked effort. Newcastle would give any team in Europe a game right now.
