Wasn't someone earlier saying "BUT WHO ELSE BEAT SOUTHAMPTON 5-0 AWAY????" as a defence of Ange?

Well Brentford just have.

4-0 at broken City and 5-0 at the worst side in Prem history keeping the fat tub of lard in a job.

I've said for months now. Under Ange we simply don't beat teams that actually turn up. The only teams we beat are ones in really poor form.

All jokes aside Doomy - every Spurs fan in the ground today were rightly happy with such a performance under such conditions. And rightly so.

None of which means the manager shouldn't be sacked - but Gray, Spence (second half), Bergvall and Austin are worthy of every bit of praise proper Spurs fans will send their way.
Every Spurs fan in the ground? A lot of boos at the end. Maybe they were for the referee. But they'd have come at half time if that was the case.

Ultimately, i did expect a heavy beating. So I can't get better than expected and still be angry.

However, as shit as this situation is selection wise, and as unlikely as it is to get better anytime soon. Results are going to have be picked up in the immediate future in spite of that. Even before most of those players are back. Because the last 9 months means that there just isn't the good will in the bank.

I am proud of the players today, but they deserve a better manager.

This is a young group and they clearly have a great attitude. They deserve the best chance of success. They deserve playing under a manager who will set them up with the best chance of success.

The man said we should use the league to "rotate players" and its tottally irrelevant and he apparently has a "clear head".

Our form is that of a team that will be relegated. You know what "rotating players in the league" and not going full strength will get us? trips to West Brom and fucking Derby County.

All hail great poster with the world's most defeatist attitude.

I think it's a fair shout, if we have an EL match in the same week as a league match then the EL should take priority.

Someone mentioned Ayahusca on the match thread, I think it was Furbie Furball man Furball man

These 'Angelites' or Angeaholics or whatever fucking cringe name has been invented must be Australians, it's all alcoholism and crystal meth over there as far as I'm aware.

They must all be hallucinating or something.

Woah Woah woah sweet child of mine . Connecting 2 words that begin with the same letter has absolutely nothing to do with me .

Unless you’re talking genocide & granola & yes , it’s my fault

Until the bitter end.

Look, levelling with the Ange out crowd, the results aren’t good enough and if Ange goes then he’s not been hard done by and it wont, read again IT WONT be a case of the club flop flopping on the project as long as they get another attack minded, pressing and possession oriented coach with a similar philosophy.

But I’m Ange in until at least the end of the season because the ceiling for this football is still so high imo and despite the results, the players are clearly bought in. I get why people can’t see it and call me mad or whatever but I really can see something special coming out of this season.

The Extra Mile(sey) The Extra Mile(sey) I don't mean to get personal as you are a regular poster here so clearly are a dedicated fan. But you just seem to hate the entire club.

You hate the owners, you hate Ange, you hate most the players, and now you hate most the fans! What exactly do you like about the club right now?

We took Conte for granted.
Absolutely not. Conte was a grade-A turbo cunt of the highest order. The football sucked, basically joined us for a payout, made everything about him more than the team or club, and from day 1 always acted like he was an outsider. It was backwards, regressive football and we all knew how it was going to end. It was a cheap, desperate attempt by Levy to try and show he had ambition.

The shit I have read on here about Conte compared to him. Am I having a fever?

Forget the result today. Or the past few weeks. We have been ABSOLUTE DOGSHIT FOR THE WHOLE OF 2024!!! Can you not see that?

„They played for him today.“ Still SHIT! His tactics do not lead to RESULTS!!! Do we give him the rest of the season and another one after that? You people can not be serious.

Look at the schedule. When do we pick up a win with this clown?

Gotts love the progressive football right now thats for sure

Yes - and the clear fact that he still has the players so sacking him risks a massive drop in morale ON TOP OF the poor results.

An assistant won't cut it. They need a replacement the players will play for. In short and medium term.

Pleat used to film that role. Mason won't. Can't imagine any of the other assistants either.
It's alright saying that in favour of keeping him, but how many of those players would be kicking off wanting to move to clubs in the CL come the summer window?

If they love him and this is them playing for him then isn't that even more damning of his managerial capabilities? Like we just have a chilled our entertainer at the helm who the workforce loves, but is actually dreadful at his job?

That is the reason I can't commit to the Ange-out train yet. The players are clearly not downing tools.

I remain Angenostic but we're not in a normal situation right now. I have never, in four decades, felt so conflicted about a manager.
Well said, describes very much my own position.

Ange has both his obvious strengths and flaws, but seeing his team put up a real fight most of the time, tells me we need to see this out through the storm we are in now.

Give it a full evaluation after the season. We may even have won something, even though hard to believe under current situation

I like chirpy

Will be an absolute travesty if Ange doesn't see out the season.

He has his faults but there is absolutely no-one out there now that would have us winning every game in our current situation.

All aboard the Ange train!

The fact posters are rattled by that idea makes you wonder if they even want us to win a trophy this year!

I mean the only advantage to us being in the bottom half is that we can just bin off the league and go full strength in Europe rather than the other way around. We've never done this before. We have always gone full strength in league.

The idea of us going full strength in Europe is scaring them because we might actually win it!
