Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

This argument never fails to make me laugh.

If this what it took to bring an identified player to the club (goalkeepers being the hardest to find) then so what?

How do we know that Lange wasn't in another part of Europe cutting a deal, Paratici too?

If the player (and a very young one at that) wanted some sort of assurance what better than the owner of the Club flying in to finish the deal?

I see nothing wrong with this.

Guess it's tricky, we have 3 centre backs who are all due back roughly at the same time at the end of this month.

We probably don't want 5cb not including Phillips and Vuskovic

I can imagine the club will just continue on with gray and radu with just a new lb coming in

I think that you are spot on with this.

I just can't see Levy signing a CB with Phillips and Vuskovic being possibly half a season away from getting a squad number.

I’d be surprised if we saw both of them in the squad next season. Also doesn’t look like Dorrington is ready or trusted, as I’m more likely to see minutes than he is this season.

Leaves us with Romero, VDV, Drag, an ageing Ben and a youngster. If this season has taught us anything, it’s that 2 or 3 will be out at any one time. Means we need 6, so we should be signing 1 or 2 at least.

Our attack is currently utter shit. We have one useful forward Solanke. Son was great but he isn’t the player he was, he has lost his explosiveness and I don’t think he can now play as a winger certainly not a touchline one, he needs to be a second striker but we don’t play that way. I don’t need to comment on the others.

For a team that plays attacking football to have a barely mid table attack is pathetic. Even Ipswich with Delap and Hutchinson have a more dynamic looking forward line than us. We don’t even need that much to upgrade our attack just someone mildly dynamic.

So how come we have something like the third highest goals scored in the PL?

I know we have no Salah or Haarland but come on.

I think Johnson and Solanke have played well this season so far, their first full season together. Richy is out and Son more or less finished yet we are still third top scorers in the PL?

Glass half full mate.

Because we play hyper attacking football which has its own advantages and disadvantages. But in terms of general play only Solanke is pulling his weight. He can press, hold the ball up and link well. Our other attackers haven't contributed that well in general play and for a team that defends from the front in how we set up it means we can’t control games as well as we should and are to easy to play through.

Even though we don’t have an injury crisis in the front line the club is still making the front a priority for this window and that says everything.

This place is about to kick fuck out of you for this positivity.

You’ll definitely regret that Johnson comment.😂

Out of curiosity where are people expecting the goals to come from if we signed two wingers to replace Son and Johnson? We would be reliant on a to date one season EPL wonder Solanke and Maddison or Kulu to bag the majority of our goals. I would much rather sign Muani and/or Mbeumo as a wide forward than a winger knowing they’ve both previously and currently (MB) have a track record of both assisting and scoring goals.

There is a thread on he subject, but in short Spurs are 2nd highest goal scorers in PL with Johnson (who plays more of a support striker role than a right winger) being one of our leading scorers so the idea of replacing him with a 'proper' winger is nuts. Sure he can;' play all of Spurs fixtures (no player can - the schedule requires all players to get some rotation and rest) , so we need a 2nd player who currently is Kukusevski and was planned to also be Odobert before his injury, so we can mix and match different skills in the forward line.

We're fine for HG atm.
We currently have a full squad for Europa so it's pretty much 1 in 1 out (apart from CT).

We can make 3 changes

Spence in - Richy/Werner/Odobert/Davies out?
Kinsky in - Forster out
New signing 2 in - Richy/Werner/Odobert/Davies out?

We would still have Gray, Maddison, Solanke and Johnson in the 4 HG slots whatever happens so doesn't really matter if other signings are HG or not.
I'd keep Davies in. For sure, ditch Richy and Werner for Spence and New Signing 2

Only with Ange

Never before in my 40 years supporting Spurs have we needed 6 CBs

This regime (headed by Ange) had a nightmare with injuries last season. And this season. Were it allowed to continue into next season I have no doubt the same would happen. Needs to stop asap

He's been out best player this season. I'm not sure we could improve on him without coughing up more than Levy is willing to pay.
Madison gets lots of hate on here, I’d put him as player of the season.

Kulusevski has value, don’t get me wrong. If we had an unlimited budget, I’d keep him as backup RW as he offers something different. Given limit resource constraints and his perceived value, I’d swap him in a heartbeat for a top RW

Quite a few on here were convinced he was a statement of ambition.

Good player, seems like his body isn't built for PL football because he's not been injured but not had a sniff.
