Basically, it's very hard to give any kind of shit about football at the best of times.

Levy and ENIC in charge make it impossible.

New ownership is probably the only thing that might break the numbness and bring some kind of feeling. Either that or the Super League.

Well I say owners, but of course it's Daniel Levy who they refer to. Most have never heard of Joe Lewis or ENIC.

I think he's now comfortably seen in the Ashley / Glazers / Hicks-Gillette bracket of odiousness across the wider football community.

Yeah it’s just seen as a given that levy is just about profits & ripping off fans whilst being useless at winning trophies & incompetent in football matters. First thing on family fortunes if it what do you think when you hear someone say Tottenham Hotspur’s.
“no trophies”. That’s what we have become. Where as before he came along we were known as a cup team who wins things.
Very pleasing everyone knows what he & they are now. & rival fans want them to stay.
 
So guys and gals I have no idea what anyone does for a living , but hypothetically in whatever your field .

Would you like to work for someone who looks to do everything on the cheap , does not pay competitive wages . Has a reputation for failure over 25 years and will blame someone else for his mistakes . A person who also has a reputation amongst other people in the same business as being difficult and a backtrader allegedly .

Because that is pretty much the advert going up in the job centre in Edmonton fairly soon I suspect .

Levy thought he would have had a buyer by now and he's panicking. Slashing the wage bill was his desperate gambit to entice a buyer in and it hasn't worked. Investors will be watching this and thinking they can buy cheaper. I would be.

When they’re listed out like that it really is both laughable and infuriating at the same time.

Particularly the point about the number 6 debacle - since Ange took over we’ve had Bissouma, Bentancur, Hojbjerg, Sarr rotate in and out of who can play the role the least shit. All of them are different versions of the same player, average box to box 8’s, none of which have the attributes to successfully play the 6 role in Ange’s system, one of if not the most important position in the whole system to make it work effectively.

But you just get the impression that it’s a position we simply deemed too expensive to try and really improve, so we’ve simply plodded along and winged it.
