Because he is demonstrably an extremely poor coach and there are coaches who will come in on an interim basis and very likely do better. Tho that isn’t guaranteed, such is life

I would happily take Dyche over Ange. All fucking day long
I’m sure the dyche comment is tongue in cheek but I don’t think we get the manager we want until the end of the season. Iraola is the stand out candidate for me but there’s no chance we get him now.

I don’t want mason being put in charge again.

The point remains that United are a global heavyweight and Spurs aren't. We've won virtually fuck all since the 1980s. They can attract better players than we can and they pay higher wages.

Iraola - maybe next season starting with a clean slate, I don't see why he'd want to manage us now, in this situation, Bournemouth are 10 points ahead of us.
United's reputation makes it a more dangerous job for an ambitious manager to take because they clearly have not had the recruitment structure in place to properly support a manager for over a decade, they have woefully dated facilities in dire need of serious short-term resolution (particularly Old Trafford which is seriously falling apart) which will no doubt have an impact on their ability to spend on players in the short term, not to mention the INEOS minor stake purchase has come with a ton of negative publicity due to Sir Jim's 25-point cost-cutting plan, and even with all that in mind the fans still expect to be competing for the title and back in the CL within 2 years.

Compare that to Spurs fans expectations; if Iraola came in, secured top 10 this season, top 6 next season with a decent cup run then had us challenging for top 4 within year 4 of the project, with some of our current youth players starting to mature into nailed on first XI players, would our fans be calling for his blood? No, we would be glad to see positive progress back to our financial "mean" position in the table, and to not be the fucking laughing stock of the league again. Put that development plan to a United fan and they'll tell you that's nowhere near fucking good enough for a club their size and they'd expect a new manager to be competing for the league by year 3. Even considering that I would say on paper our first XI is better than theirs in probably 8/11 positions.

No it isn't, but again what's the alternative? Not bother trying because we're scared he'll say no?

We're Tottenham fucking Hotspur. One of the 10 richest football clubs by income on the planet. If we can't prise managers out of Bournemouth because we're too timid to try then just shut us down.

We might go for him in the summer but I wouldnt be surprised now if Levy does sack ange he goes for someone like Benitez on a 6 month deal. It wont be pretty but we need a competent coach for the rest of the season.

Benitez is actually a really interesting shout I hadn't considered lol, I'd be a bit worried he's too dated now as was part of the Mourinho generation of managers but when you look at his results with PL clubs in retrospect he actually did pretty well and most clubs were worse off after sacking him.
