Being generous. Lots of holes. Lots of inconsistent players in there. Lack of steal in the middle of the park. Real lack of technical ability up front.

This isn’t a squad built to compete in 4 different tournaments

I was there in 1977, and laughed at that prospect. Impossible, unthinkable, never going to happen to a big club like us.

It did, was ugly, embarrassing, unnecessary, and made us the laughing stock of football.

Likewise. I was there and never thought it would happen at this point of the season……neither did the players. Wasn’t good.
